Abstract:By analyzing Takahashi–Umezawa thermo field dynamics and constructing new thermal excitation states, we propose a thermo Jaynes–Cummings model. The corresponding Hamiltonian is diagonalized by virtue of the supersymmetric transform and the eigenenergy spectrum is obtained.

Abstract:By analyzing the characteristics of thermo field dynamics, we present a new generalized thermo Jaynes-Cummings (TJC) model at finite temperature including the thermal effects and expatiate on its physical explanation. By virtue of Lewis-Riesenfeld invariant method, we obtain its exact eigenenergy spectrum and the explicit expressions for the evolution operator of the wavefunctions. In addition, we evaluate various expectation values of physical quantities and find the pseudo-invariant eigen-operator for the generalized TJC Hamiltonian.

Abstract:Based on the construction of super symmetric generators, we use the Lewis-Riesenfeld invariant method to deduce the exact and explicit eigen-energy spectrum with the time-dependent thermo Jaynes-Cummings model. One of the advantages of this approach is that it can transform the hidden form, related to the chronological product, of the time evolution operator into an explicit expression. Moreover, the dynamical and statistics properties of physical quantities are obtained for the given initial states in the thermo Jaynes-Cummings system.
Jaynes-Cummings Model: What Emerges First Beyond the Rotating-Wave Approximation?

Abstract:The Jaynes-Cummings model without the rotating-wave approximation can be solved exactly by extended Swain's ansatz with the conserved parity. The analytical approximations are then performed at different levels. The well-known rotating-wave approximation is naturally covered in the present zero and first approximations. The effect of the counter rotating-wave term emerges clearly in the second order approximation. The concise analytical expressions are given explicitly and can be applicable up to the ultra-strong coupling regime. The preliminary application to the vacuum Rabi splitting is shown to be very successful.

Abstract:The modified Jaynes-Cummings model of a single two-level atom placed in the common domain of two cavities or interacting with two quantized modes is studied by a dynamical algebraic method. With the help of an SU(2) algebraic structure, we then obtain the eigenvalues, eigenstates, time evolution operator and atomic inversion operator for the system. We proceed to investigate the modified Jaynes-Cummings model governed by the Milburn equation and present the exact solution of the Milburn equation.

Abstract:By utilizing the property of the supersymmetric structure in the two-level multiphoton Jaynes-Cummings model, an invariant is constructed in terms of the supersymmetric generators by working in the sub-Hilbert-space corresponding to a particular eigenvalue of the conserved supersymmetric generators. We obtain the exact solutions of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation which describes the time-dependent supersymmetric two-level three-photon Jaynes-Cummings model (TLTJCM) by using the invariant-related unitary transformation formulation. Abstract:For the generalized Jaynes-Cummings model Hamiltonian which can describe two collectively radiation atoms, we find Its supersymmetric structure. Based on supersymmetric quantum mechanics theory, we introduce a supersymmetric unitary transformation, in which the supersymmetric unitary transformation operator can be constructed by supersymmetric generators of the super-Lie algebra, to diagonalize the Hamiltonian. On doing so, its eigenvalue and eigenstates are obtained.

Abstract:The quantum thermalization of the Jaynes-Cummings (JC) model in both equilibrium and non-equilibrium open-system cases is sdudied, in which the two subsystems, a two-level system and a single-mode bosonic field, are in contact with either two individual heat baths or a common heat bath. It is found that in the individual heat-bath case, the JC model can only be thermalized when either the two heat baths have the same temperature or the coupling of the JC system to one of the two baths is turned off. In the common heat-bath case, the JC system can be thermalized irrespective of the bath temperature and the system-bath coupling strengths. The thermal entanglement in this system is also studied. A \emph{counterintuitive} phenomenon of \emph{vanishing} thermal entanglement in the JC system is found and proved.

Abstract:Partial entangling power provides the average amount of entanglement produced by a d(1) x d(2) bipartite unitary operator. The average is done over the initial distribution of the states of one of the subsystems. In this paper, we extend the expression of the partial entangling power to the case that d(1) is finite and d(2) is arbitrary. In particular, we give an explicit expression of partial entangling power for the 2 x infinity system. The expression can be well applicable to the Jaynes-Cummings model (JCM). The results can recover the well-known phenomenon in the JCM. We explicitly discuss its behaviour in the large detuning case and at the resonance case. Comparing the two cases, we find that it is easier for the JCM in the large detuning case to reach and maintain its maximum entangling power, while for the JCM at resonance, the achievable maximum entangling power is larger. In addition, the time average partial entangling power is also discussed.

Abstract:The study of phase transitions in dissipative quantum systems based on the Liouvillian is often hindered by the difficulty of constructing a time-local master equation when the system-environment coupling is strong. To address this issue, the complex discretization approximation for the environment is proposed to study the quantum phase transition in the extended Jaynes-Cumming model with an infinite number of boson modes. This approach yields a non-Hermitian effective Hamiltonian that can be used to simulate the dynamics of the spin. It is found that the ground state of this effective Hamiltonian determines the spin dynamics in the single-excitation subspace. Depending on the opening of the energy gap and the maximum population of excitations on the spin degree of freedom, three distinct phases can be identified: fast decaying, localized, and stretched dynamics of the spin. This approach can be extended to multiple excitations, and similar dynamics were found in the double-excitation subspace, indicating the robustness of the single-excitation phase.

Abstract:We explore the thermal properties of a system including a single-mode cavity interacting with a two-level atom at temperature T under the effect of the Stark shift. Thus, the partition function and then the thermal density matrix of the atom-field system will be needed. Using the generators of the algebra, we first compute the total excitation number which commutes with the Hamiltonian of the system. Considering the total excitation number, the Hamiltonian is represented by a block diagonal matrix. We solve exactly our model and calculate the energy eigenvalues and corresponding eigenstates. We analyze the fidelity as numerical criterion of the closeness of the thermal atom-cavity system at two temperatures. The effect of the Stark shift coefficients on the fidelity can be studied. Moreover, we will examine the thermodynamical properties of the thermal atom-field system using the Helmholtz free energy, entropy, internal energy and heat capacity. The dependence of the temperature and Stark shift parameters on the thermodynamical properties will be discussed.

Abstract:We study the thermal effects of the multi-photon Jaynes-Cummings model (JCM) with a method of thermo field dynamics (TFD). Letting the initial state of the whole system for the multi-photon JCM be a product of the ground state of an atom and a coherent state of a cavity field at finite temperature, we compute its time evolution. We evaluate a period of the collapse and revival of the Rabi oscillations and the relative entropy of coherence of the atom up to the second-order perturbation of the low-temperature expansion. We show that an intuitive estimation of the period matches with the result of the perturbation theory of TFD well. In particular, we witness that the period of the two-photon JCM hardly depends on the amplitude of the coherent state of the cavity field or the temperature. Numerical calculations suggest that the relative entropy of coherence of the two-photon JCM does not decay even for nonzero temperature cases as time proceeds. By contrast, the relative entropy of coherence for single-, three-, and four-photon JCMs decay as time proceeds for zero- and finite-temperature cases.
