Abstract:The"Double First-class"construction represents a new chapter in the development of of higher education in China,aiming to promote innovative development of the higher education system.This article is based on the core professional course"Metallurgical Unit Design and Operation"of the"Double First-class"discipline-Metallurgical Engineering at Beijing University of Science and Technology,and elaborates on the existing problems in the teaching process,such as the lack of practical engineering problems in the teaching content and excessive emphasis on theoretical knowledge cultivation.To solve these problems,we propose a course teaching reform strategy that is guided by actual engineering problems in the metallurgical process and integrates teaching content and engineering practice from aspects of the composition of teaching content,the structure of the teaching system,and teaching methods that are suitable for the characteristics of the metallurgical engineering profession.This will lay a foundation for better cultivating high-quality engineering and technical personnel,promote interaction and cooperation between teachers and students,improve the quality of education and teaching,and further promote the development of China's higher education.
