Abstract:Erythropoietin (EPO) can activate many signal pathways by binding to EPO receptors, such as Jak-STAT pathway, ras-MAPK pathway, PI3K pathway and so on, thereby serving its functions by changing the specific gene transcription in cell nuecli.Recent researches showed that EPO has extensive effects on brain, heart, liver, kidney etc.It can protect nervous and cardiovascular systems.
