Abstract:β-Lactoglobulin(β-Lg) is the major protein in whey,several methods for isolating β-Lg have been described.However,none of the existing processes or techniques has been effectively implemented to achieve inadequate yield/purification.The aim of this study was to introduce a simple,reproducible,and less expensive method to isolate β-Lactoglobulin from whey protein concentrate.Moreover,the use of BCA protein concentration determination shows that the concentration of extracted β-Lg is very high,while the SDS-PAGE(sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis) result shows that the extracted β-lg has a high purity.
