Abstract:An improved silica gel-water adsorption chiller was experimentally investigated.When the hot water inlet temperature,cooling water inlet,temperature,and chilled water outlet temperature were 84.0℃,30℃,and 21℃respectively,the cooling capacity was 14.0 kW,improved by 60%and the COP was 0.40.A dimensionless variable named reduced temperature is introduced to build the performance fitted equations,which makes predicting the cooling capacity and COP of the chiller at all conditions easily.
