The treatment of tumor-bearing mice with auxotrophy Salmonella typhimurium

Abstract:Objective Exploring the treatment to tumor-bearing mice of SW480 human colon cancer cell with auxotrophy Salmonella typhimurium which was mutagenized by N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine(NTG).Methods after using NTG mutagenize Salmonella typhimurium,the auxotrophs was isolated through glucose minimal broths culture and ampicillion selection.It was injected into the tail vein of 10 no tumor-bearing nude mice to see its safty,and injected into 20 tumor-bearing nude mice to observe its anti-tumor effect.Results Contrast to all death of no tumor-bearing nude mice injected with wild type,only one mouse by the auxotrophs died.One week later,all 20 tumor-bearing mice have necrotic areas in tumor after injected by the auxotrophs.Conclusions The auxotrophs is safe for normal mice,and have chemotaxis and anti-tumor effect toward cancer foci.
