Cultivating Applied Talents:the Inevitable Mission of Higher Education

Abstract:To a certain extent,the lack of applied talents has constrained and impacted the various aspects of China’s social and economic developments.Our country’s universities,in particular of applied universities should effectively focus on cultivting applied talents.Universities must stress on training the capability of independent innovation of students and improving the qualities of higher education,to let the students use theoretical knowledge learned in schools to solve social problems.Application-oriented universities should play their own strengthens,use various resources,promote teachers’ creativity to accomplish the fundamental mission of cultivating qualified innovative talents.
