Abstract:relationship between science,technology and social risks has been the continuing concern problem to study in recent years.Science and technology is seen not only as a source of social risk,but also as a means to cope with risks.The understanding about the symbiotic phenomenon of science,technology risks and social development,and the role of science and technology in the risk society are being incorporated into the policy issues and highlighted in the strategy and policy of science and technology.Taking the Obama administration's New Deal as the case,by analyzing The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and related documents of the Obama administration,such as Barack Obama and Joe Biden' plan for the science and innovation and Barack Obama's address to Joint Session of Congress,this article explores how the Obama administration adjust science and technology policies in response to the economic and social risks,and analyzes further related problems about science,technology and social risks.
