Research on Fast Thermolysis Kinetics of Coal

Abstract:It is important to make pyrolysis research during coal fast heating-up condition for coal gasification process and operation of gasifier. Research of coal fast pyrolysis character was made by using TGA/SDTA 851 thermo-gravimetric analyzer with different type coals, different heating-up speed rate, different coal/ash rate in the experiment. Results shows, with heating-up speed rate increase, maximal weight loss speed rate increases. With coal degree of metamorphism increases, maximal weight loss speed rate reduces. With coal/ash rate increase, weight loss speed rate increases at first and then reduces, it is concluded that optimal coal/ash rate exist。In N2, O2, CO2 three type atmosphere, gasification temperature in CO2 is higher than pyrolysis in CO2 and combustion in O2. Combustion reaction is much stronger than gasifica- tion. Apparent kinetics parameter is obtained by Coast-Redfern integration method。
