Abstract:The importance of redundant nodes of a computer monitoring and control system for power plants is analyzed. Even if one spur track at redundant nodes is in trouble, the system can still work. But if there is no redundant node or all redundant nodes are in trouble, the system will collapse. A fault tolerant computer monitoring and control system for power plants based on Siemens S7-400 PLC is introduced.
