Abstract:Objective To study the efficacy and side effects of scopolamine combined with tramadol and fentanyl for patient-controlled analgesia(PCA) after Caesarean section. Methods Sixty ASAⅠ-Ⅱ patients were randomly divided into scopolamine group(group S) and droperidol group(group D). Group S(n=30) received scopolamine 0.3mg+tramadol 500mg+fentanyl 0.5mg. Group D(n=30) received droperidol 2.5mg+tramadol 500mg+fentanyl 0.5mg.The visual analogue score(VAS) and sedation score were assessed at 24,48h after operation. PCA dose and side effects were compared. Results VAS was not significantly different between the two groups. But Ramsay score and PCA dose at 24h were significantly greater than those at 48h in group D. Sedation score in group D at 24h was significantly higher than that in group S(P<0.05).Side-effects were significantly more in group D than those in group S. Conclusion The analgesia efficacy of scopolamine combined with tramadol and fentanyl is effective and safe with less side effects than that if droperidol is added instead of scopolamine.
