Integrating case-based learning into bedside teaching of respiratory medicine for medical students of the eight-year System

Abstract:The eight-year program incubating system for clinical medicine is a relatively new system,and looking for effective teaching methods is of great importance. Bedside teaching is an important bridge connecting medical knowledge and clinical practice for medical students. Traditional teaching methods are teacher-centered with teaching knowledge points as the main tool,which is inefficient. In comparison,case-based teaching( CBL) is a student-centered and problem-oriented method. Integration of CBL into bedside teaching of respiratory medicine for medical students of the eight-year system can effectively stimulate learning initiatives of students,help them apply medical knowledge and evidence-based medicine to solve clinical problems and promote the formation of correct clinical thinking.
