The Express and Significance of Bone Morphogenetic Protein-2 and Protein-4 during Different Stages and Periend of Tooth Development

Abstract:Bone morphogenetic protein(BMP)families which act as morphogenetic signals mediating tissue interactions at various stages of tooth development.Bone morphogenetic protein,is a well-known growth factor and signal molecular.It has been proved to be involved in the development of many organs such as bone.BMP-2 or BMP-4 expressed in the dental epithelium and mesenchyme at different stages of development,to signal different cellular activities in a time-and tissue-specific way.BMP-2 was suggested to be involved in the formation of an epithelial signaling center,the primary enamel knot,while BMP-4 would mediate the condensation of the mesenchyme.
