Anahysis on the Distribution Features of Symptoms in Depression and Anxiety Disorder

Abstract:Objective To study the distribution features of symptoms in Depression and anxiety disorder.Methods A total of 60 depression and 60 anxiety disorder patients as research subjects were randomly selected in a top three hospital,tested by the self-rating depression scale(SDS)and the self-rating anxiety scale(SAS).Results Comparison of the SDS scale indicated that,the items which were more than 3 points in average in depression included loss of libido,difficult determination,empty feeling,more serious in the morning,interest waned,sleep disturbance and depression,the items which were more than 3 points in average in anxiety disorder included sleep disturbance and decreased ability,the scores of the items include cry easily,suicidal ideation,irritability,difficult determination and feeling useless in depression(2.23±1.03,1.85±1.01,2.53±1.07,3.28±0.78,2.90±1.04)were Significantly higher than that of anxiety disorder(1.58±0.94,t=3.60,P<0.01;1.20±0.55,t=4.40,P<0.01;2.05±1.06,2.42±1.20,2.90±1.05,t=2.49,2.26,2.36;P<0.05).Comparison of the SAS scale indicated that,the items which were more than 3 points in average in anxiety disorder included sleep disturbance and sweating,the items which were more than 3 points in average in depression included sleep disturbance,unfortunately feeling,sweating and restlessness,the scores of the items include palpitations,urinary frequency,hand-foot-shaking,body pain,feeling faint and flushing in anxiety disorder(2.72±0.92,2.98±1.03,2.23±1.11,2.60±1.21,2.12±1.08,1.83±0.92) were Significantly higher than that of depression(2.00±0.97,t=-4.14,P<0.01;1.85±0.95,t=-6.24,P<0.01;1.73±0.88,2.05±0.93,1.42±0.72,1.63±0.80,t=-2.73,-2.79,-2.79,-2.76;P<0.05).The score of the unfortunately feeling in depression(3.25±1.00)was significantly higher than that of anxiety disorder(2.77±1.36,t=2.22,P<0.05).Conclusion Depression showed more pronounced depressive mood,which was not obvious in anxiety disorder,depression showed more mental anxiety,while anxiety disorder showed more somatic anxiety.
