Status on Hypertention in Qingpu Area of Shanghai City in Adults 35 Years

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the status of prevalence,awareness,treatment,control of hypertension and antihypertension drugs in Shanghai Qingpu area.Methods: A cross-sectional study of prevalence,awareness,treatment and control of hypertension was conducted with a representative sample of adults over 35 years old.There were 6383 participants being included in the investigation.2992 were male and 3391 were female.Results:Prevalence of hypertension in the population was 29.88%.Prevalence of hypertesion in male was 30.85% and 29.02% in female(P0.05).The prevalence increased with aging of population(P 0.01).The rate of awareness,treatment and control was 63.50%,53.49% and 41.5%.Chinese traditional medicines,compounds and calcium antagonists were the commen drug for anti-hypertesion treatment.Zhengjujiangya tablets,compound reserpine tablets and nifedipine were the most common drug to control hypertention for each type.Conclusion:The prevalence of hypertention in qingpu ≥35 years population is about 30%.The common drug for controling hypertension are Chinese traditional medicine,compounds and Calcium antagonists.It is necessary to enhance awareness,treatment and control rate of hypertension.
