Abstract:Use of secondary document and network document can communicate information, improve use factor and reveal the academic value of documents. The paper makes a comparison and analysis of journalism and communi- cation periodicals in two indicators such as secondary document and rates of Web-downloaded. This helps to obtain an objective understanding the academic level and academic quality of journalism and communication periodicals,and it also can provide a preference for the orientation of journal development.
