Determination of 1-DNJ Content of Northern Mulberry Varieties

Abstract:1-deoxynojirimycin(DNJ)contents of eight northern mulberry varieties were measured by modified high performance liquid chromatography.The results show that 0.05 mol L-1HCl mulberry leaf extract DNJ,by 9-fluorene methyl chloride(FMOC-Cl)derivatization,can quickly and more accurately determine mulberry leave's DNJ content.The DNJ content in 8 varieties of mulberry is higher than that of the upper leaves and lower leaves,and the DNJ content of the leaves of the local variety of Taylor Sangis higher than species from the ouside.
