Abstract:[Objective] To explore the clinical feasibility of laser induced fluorescence spectrum in the diagnosis of colon cancer. [Methods] Make lots of in vivo and in vitro measurement and spectrum analysis of the clinical colon tissues with an laser system (wavelength 370 nm) and an optical multichannel analyzer (OMA). [Results] The main differences of fluorescence spectrum between normal and cancerous colon tissues are the position of peak and the intensity of the peak. In the range 400 nm-600 nm, the intensity of normal tissues is markedly higher than those of cancerous, especially at the 480 nm nearby. And there is a small cuspidal peak of the cancerous spectrum at (623±8) nm nearby, and its intensity is markedly higher than those of normal. [Conclusion] The LIF spectroscopy in the clinical diagnosis of colon cancer is feasible.
