Modeling and Simulation of Exterior Trajectory of Electromagnetic Railgun

Abstract:It is necessary to establish exterior trajectory models for analyzing exterior trajectory characteristics of electromagnetic railgun,because of the disturbance during launch,aerodynamic heating and ablation by hypervelocity. The modeling method is analyzed for exterior trajectory models of electromagnetic railgun and the exterior trajectory models are established. An initial random mathematic model is established according to definite index. Based on Monte Carlo method,exterior trajectory characteristics are simulated. Simulation results show offsets with definite initial random mathematical model. These results are valuable for further researching the design specifications of electromagnetic railgun.
