A Study on the Transform Tendency of Dual Economic Structure

Abstract:The transformation of dual economic structure is a crucial point of the economic development in developing countries,but the exsiting literature cann't display the transform tendency of dual structure in theory.The paper consider that dual economic lies in the difference in level of labor division of two sectors,and the transform tendency of dual structure should be explained from the viewpoints of labor division.According to the above judgement, the paper take advantage of New Classical Economics models,and conclude that with the improvement of labor division,the transform trend of dual structure is industrialization,the prosperity of service industry and the development of urbanization. The improvement of labor division is decided by the transaction efficiency or the transaction cost.These theoretic viewpoints can be supported by empirical evidence,so we have explained the transform tendency of dual structure in theory and in practice consistently.
