Abstract:An expert system for industrial wastewater treatment process design was established.Based on the characteristics of the industrial wastewater source and the influent water quality,with mode of subsection and combination,the proper treatment process was selected from the four technique databases using the rule-based reasoning(RBR) and case-based reasoning(CBR) synthetically.Meanwhile,interactive process adjustment,environmental and economic efficiency assessment of the selected process could also be supported.

Abstract:The urban drainage system is complex. Flux and water lever of the system are affected by the people behaviors, rain and some other unpredicted factors such as channel leakage. But Sewage overflow may happen with improper control policy. And the system has the potential of saving power So a design of sewage pumping station fuzzy controller based on improved genetic algorithms is proposed And the mathematical model based on energy and network pollution minimizing is presented Improved genetic algorithms acquire the fuzzy rules of the fuzzy controller and optimize parameters. The design of fuzzy controller has been proved to have good robust with simulating calculation. Combining of the method proposed in this article with VVVF is more advanced than the traditional method with constant rate. Water level can keep unvarying at aimed water level and achieve that flux in equal flux out. It could achieve the double-optimal control goal of energy and pollution minimizing. Through simulating experiment, the system has good applied value.

Abstract:In this paper, on the basis of overview on artificial intelligent, expert system and characters of safety production in ammonia plant, a practical expert system is developed for safety project and fault detection of ammonia plant with some new consideration on knowledge express, reasoning machine and system implementation. This expert system has been implemented in a ammonia plant with satisfied results. Siginificent economic benefit is expected to be achieved.

Abstract:To the liguid level control problem in process industry,and the operation of liquid level equipment,a liquid level control system based on fuzzy rules is designed to overcome the shortcomings of regular control methods.This design adopts fuzzy control method with feedforward compensation to eliminate the influence of the measurable disturbances on the liquid level.The strategy avoids online optimization and improves the system robustness.Practical industry application shows that the control system yields fairly good results.

Abstract:Wastewater treatment is a complex biochemical reaction with strong nonlinearity,coupling and uncertainty.In this paper,a fuzzy adaptive generalized predictive control(GPC) is proposed for wastewater treatment benchmark based on the activated sludge model No.1(ASM1).The predictive model (is obtained) by using fuzzy adaptive identification,which can improve the accuracy of the model.The(results) of simulation demonstrate that the proposed control strategy can effectively ensure effluent water quality.

Abstract:Peritoneal dialysis scheme design is a key problem that influences dialysis effect and patient's life. Object-oriented and expert system technologies are used in this paper to establish expert system of peritoneal dialysis scheme design. In this paper, structure of system, knowledge expression, establishing of knowledge base, reasoning machine design and realization are analyzed. The expert system can automatically design and adjust peritoneal dialysis scheme. It showed the system was an intelligent system. Finally, an example shown the system is available.

Abstract:A rule-based expert system combined with fault tree analysis was presented for on-line early faults diagnosis of municipal solid waste (MSW)incinerator based on historical data and operation record. Results showed that the accuracy of the system was about 90%,which was useful for on-line early faults diagnosis of MSW incineration.

Abstract:This paper develops an expert system for waste load allocation of agricultural non-point source (ES-WLAANS) to assist environment administrators in making decision in optimal solution of allocation. ES-WLAANS includes a decision model at its core which is built based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and a closely related database. Tiaoxi watershed is the case study area. The results showed that ES-WLAANS can enhance the efficiency of allocation of agriculture NPS pollution for environmental administrators.

Abstract:According to the basic principle of expert system, a Web_based expert system of the comprehensive utilization of biogas and residue of the rural biogas project has been designed. Knowledge about the summary of biogas and residue, biogas equipment installation and use and the comprehensive utilization of biogas and residue were organized and processed in the expert system. The whole framework, the knowledge base, the building of reasoning machine and this system running process example have been introduced in the expert system. The system is released on the internet through ASP, which can be operated from long_distance. This system has several significant functions, instead of some biogas project experts in practice, including fault diagnosis, information consultation, decision_making and technology service.

Abstract:A fuzzy expert system which can simultaneously support many kinds of rules including fuzzy production rule, fault tree and decision tree in a unified framework are researched. Fuzzy rete algorithm is adopted to speed up the fuzzy reasoning chain. A wind turbine diagnosis expert system is developed based on the fuzzy expert system. Experiment data is employed to verify the feasibility of the inference engine, and the results show that with proper knowledge imported the misdiagnosis rate is low, the inference process can be exported and the match degree of the health rule can be used as a health state indicator.

Abstract:The design and application of a municipal wastewater treatment plant performance evaluation system (MWTPPES) are described. The MWTPPES was based on an expert system which could be used to identify potential problems that affect the system efficiency, effectiveness, energy consumption and material consumption, and stability. The system used audits to analyze the long-term monitoring data and to evaluate the plant stability and effectiveness. The conclusions from the MWTPPES analysis agree well with independent experts, which demonstrates the reliability of the MWTPPES.

Abstract:Using the theory of fuzzy sets, this paper develops a fuzzy logic reasoning system as an augmentation to a rule-based expert system to deal with fuzzy information. First, fuzzy set theorems and fuzzy logic principles are briefly reviewed and organized to form a basis for the proposed fuzzy logic system. These theorems and principles are then extended for reasoning based on knowledge base with fuzzy production rules. When an expert system is augmented with the fuzzy logic system, the inference capability of the expert system is greatly expanded; and the establishment of a rule-based knowledge base becomes much easier and more economical. Interpretations of the system’s power and possible future research directions conclude the paper.

Abstract:Indentifying potential pollution sources from the monitoring water quality data is desirable for water quality management. A simple expert system module was developed in this paper to infer the latent pollution sources and explain variation in water quality parameters. It contains three parts. The first part is water quality mining and analyzing component implemented by multivariate statistical techniques such as cluster analysis and factor analysis. The second part is knowledge base constructed by 53 emission standards for water pollutant of particular industries. The last part is the inference mechanism designed through calculating the similarity between a specific pollution factor and these particular industry emission standards. The Songhua River Harbin Region case study demonstrated the goodness of the expert system module. Three main pollution source factors in low pollution area were mainly related to organic pollution and nutrients (some point industry or animal husbandry and agriculture activities), heavy metal pollution (point sources: industries) and toxic pollution (point sources: pharmaceutical industries). The module will help managers make decisions with more strong confidence to improve the water quality.

Abstract:In general, the design of silk products relies on the user's preferences. Conventional design system for silk products utilizes an old-fashioned design method that designers need to design the products manually. However, this task is very complicated and difficult. Therefore, the automation of products' design is very necessary. In this paper, we have innovatively built and verified a fuzzy rule-based expert system for silk products' design based on Web. We generate the fuzzy rules by summarizing the experts' knowledge and experience. Through connecting to the database, the expert system of silk products' design utilizes the data stored in the database and the rules stored in the knowledge base to reason out the design results which are needed. It was proved that the proposed expert system is able to advise on the design of silk products for designers. The results verified the robustness of the proposed silk products' design system that could provide satisfactory performance in this new idea.

Abstract:After analysis of dredging process and requirements for dredging operations, the design and implementation of an expert system were presented in detail, that was aimed to realize dredging process optimization and fault prevention. Primary aspects of the dredging expert systems such as function and structure design, knowledge presentation and inference mechanism were also presented. A system developed based on the scheme presented herein was introduced. Experimental results show that it can effectively reduce the variation of the dredging process parameters and keep constantly the production of dredging operations at a comparatively high level.

Abstract:An expert system for supervisory control of an industrial ethanol oxidizing plant is described. In the process of producing aldehyde from ethanol oxidation, there are five unit operations involved and the fixed-bed catalytic reactor plays significant role, and the raw material consumption of the process is analyzed and served as the main variable related to performance of the process. Tasks for supervisory control of the plant include keeping safe operation of the plant and minimizing the raw material consumption of the process. Some kinds of subtask can be classified. The expert system proposed is a hybrid one which consists of a knowledge based part and a conventional logic part. The later contains a set of models and numerical algorithms, which can be combined to form functional mould for the real-time subtasks such as estimaton, optimization and control. The knowledge-based part, with a bidirection reasoning strategy, can use both qualitative knowledge and model-based information for analyzing performance of the process, diagnosing potential origins from which a deterioration of the performance or a fault of the equipment could arise, and providing corrective actions by assigning suitable subtasks to the conventional part of the system. The practical case has been discussed and the usefulness of microcomputer-based expert system in chemical industry has been shown.

Abstract:Medical wastewater is characterized by infectivity, radioactivity, toxicity and drug resistance. In recent years, the total number of medical institutions, the number of beds, and the number of medical practitioners has increased rapidly, and the amount of wastewater discharged has increased dramatically. At present, the medical institution wastewater facilities have played a positive role in sewage pollution control, but there are many problems such as low ownership rate of treatment facilities, low treatment level, poor management and not fully considering ecological and environmental safety. This paper takes medical wastewater as the research object, takes big data information as the research background, and uses computer software technology and environmental science technology to complete the development of the interactive system. K-means algorithm is adopted to study the integration of big data interactive system of medical wastewater treatment. Analyze the exceeding degree of medical wastewater treatment to cluster, conduct secondary wastewater treatment, improve the treatment rate of wastewater, and verify the effectiveness of the algorithm through experimental simulation, thus completing the integration study of interactive system.
