Abstract:The definition of ultrasound and the mechanism of its microbial inactivation were introduced,progress of ultrasonic disinfection in food and wastewater area was summarized,especially in the combination of ultrasound and other technologies. At the end,the following research for further advancement of ultrasound was proposed.
