Abstract:This paper tries to summarize the development history of western Yi-ology and the representative works in the development through analyzing the three approaches to the studies of change in West. On the basis of this,we make research on the differences of the three approaches to interpreting the Zhouyi. Thereby,we can see the western Yi-ology,as a part of western thought,was rooted at the western cultural background in the exchange between China and West. However,the discussion on the Zhouyi involved the essential question of human life which overstepping western culture.
