The Rational Consideration and Practical Reformation on the Status of Vocational Education Curriculum——From the Macro-policy Perspective

Abstract:Curriculum development is the key procedure and the core content of connotation construction in vocational education. From the perspective of vocational education curriculum development status quo in China,the due position has not been endowed to curriculum in national policies for vocational education,which is reflected by the absence such as the standard system for professional teaching,the supporting system for developing the teaching standards,and the high level team to develop the vocational education curriculum. Meanwhile,there still exists misunderstanding on organizing and planning the curriculum development. In China,no matter if it is investigated from the perspective of the complexity of the theories and techniques of curriculum development,or the re-organization of the developing force and the improvement of the developing efficiency,or the complexity of curriculum implementation,all of these facts have determined the necessity of establishing the position of national policy for vocational education curriculum. Therefore,an action plan should be drawn as well. In the action plan,we should consider the talent demand and the development data of vocational schools,the professional teaching standards,the top-quality teaching material development,and team construction for curriculum development.
