Abstract:In this paper, we study the existence of positive solutions for p(x)-Laplacian equations in unbounded domains. The existence is affected by the properties of the geometry and the topology of the domain.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the existence of positive solutions for the p(x)-Laplacian equation based on the Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem on the cone. Our efforts mainly center on the establishment of the global C1,α estimates on bounded weak solutions and the Harnack inequality which, together with the blow-up argument and Liouville type theorem, plays a key role in the a priori estimates.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the existence of positive solutions of an equation with p -Laplacian where n ≥ 3, 1 < p < n , q > 0, Δ p u = div(|∇ u | p −2 ∇ u ), and K ( x ) is a double bounded function. We will prove the following results. When 0 < q < p − 1, the equation has no solution satisfying inf R n u = 0 for any double bounded function K ( x ). When q = p − 1, the equation has a positive radial singular solution for K ( x ) ≡ Const. . In addition, q = p − 1 is a necessary condition such that this equation (with K ( x ) ≡ 1) has finite energy solutions. In addition, the existence of positive solutions are also derived for the system where u , v > 0 in R n \ {0}, n ≥ 3, 1 < p 1 , p 2 < n , q 1 , q 2 > 0, and K 1 ( x ), K 2 ( x ) are double bounded functions.

Abstract:In this paper we consider the one-dimensional p-Laplacian boundary value problem on time scales(φp(uΔ(t)))Δ+h(t)f(uσ(t))=0,t∈[a,b],u(a)−B0(uΔ(a))=0,uΔ(σ(b))=0, where φp(u) is p-Laplacian operator, i.e., φp(u)=|u|p−2u, p>1. Some new results are obtained for the existence of at least single, twin or triple positive solutions of the above problem by using Krasnosel'skii's fixed point theorem, new fixed point theorem due to Avery and Henderson and Leggett–Williams fixed point theorem. This is probably the first time the existence of positive solutions of one-dimensional p-Laplacian boundary value problems on time scales has been studied.

Abstract:We are mainly concerned with the nonlinear $p$-Laplace equation \begin{equation*} -\Delta_pu+\rho|u|^{p-2}u=\psi(x,u) \end{equation*} on a locally finite graph $G=(V,E)$, where $p$ belongs to $(1, +\infty)$. We obtain existence of positive solutions and positive ground state solutions by using the mountain-pass theorem and the Nehari manifold respectively. Moreover, we also analyze the asymptotic behavior for a sequence of positive ground state solutions. Compared with all the existing relevant works, our results have made essential improvements in at least three aspects: $(i)$ $p$ can take any value in $(1, +\infty)$; $(ii)$ the conditions on the graph $G$ and the potential $\rho$ are relaxed; $(iii)$ for the existence of positive solutions, the growth condition in previous works on the nonlinear term $\psi(x,s)$ as $s\rightarrow +\infty$ is removed.
