Abstract:Sufficient condition for the generalized synchronization of continuous chaotic system with a kind of nonlinear transformation is derived. The method is illustrated by applications to Lorenz and Duffing chaotic systems and the simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed theorem.

Abstract:A method of adaptive synchronization of one-dimensional discrete chaotic systems on complex networks is proposed. The nodes of complex networks are constructed by one-dimensional discrete chaotic systems, we consider a general drive-response synchronization model of one-dimensional discrete chaotic systems on complex dynamical networks. Based on the adaptive control technique, the parameter adaptive laws and property conversion laws are given to achieve synchronization and parameters identification simultaneously. Simulation results show that the arithmetic average and geometric mean of all the nodes states are equal, furthermore, the unknown node parameters can be successfully identified, all nodes are transformed to drive nodes. This indicates that chaos synchronization is reached in the whole networks.

Abstract:This paper proposes a simple analytical method for constructing chaotically synchronizing systems in the generalized sense. By using the synchronization scheme proposed herein, we have realized perfect generalized chaos synchronization in two dimensional coupled maps. Numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Abstract:In the paper, in light of the LaSalle-type invariance principle for stochastic differential equations, chaos synchronization is investigated for a class of chaotic systems dissatisfying a globally Lipschitz condition with noise perturbation. Sufficient criteria for both complete synchronization and generalized synchronization are rigorously established and thus successfully applied to realize chaos synchronization in the coupled unified chaotic systems. Furthermore, concrete examples as well as their numerical simulations are provided to illustrate the possible application of the established criteria.

Abstract:This letter proposes a new global synchronization theorem for a class of chaotic systems. Specially, in the synchronization theorem neither the linear part nor the nonlinear part of the chaotic system requires the special structure indicated in [Wang & Wang, 1998]. We take a linear combination of the original system state variables as the scale-driving signal. We prove that the global synchronization can be attained through the simple linear output error feedback. The linear output error feedback gain is a function of a free parameter. We use Chua's chaotic oscillator and Saito's hyperchaotic system to illustrate the applicability of our synchronization scheme and discuss the issues concerning robustness.

Abstract:The new chaos control method presented in this paper is useful for taking advantage of chaos. Based on sliding mode control theory, this paper provides a switching manifold controlling strategy of chaotic system, and also gives a kind of adaptive parameters estimated method to estimate the unknown systems' parameters by which chaotic dynamical system can be synchronized. Taking the Lorenz system as example, and with the help of this controlling strategy, we can synchronize chaotic systems with unknown parameters and different initial conditions.

Abstract:The problem on the complete synchronization of a chaotic time-continuous systems was discussed, and a new approach for constructing chaotically synchronizing systems was proposed. This method was based upon the stability criterion of linear systems. Chaotic synchronization of time-continuous systems was achieved by means of appropriate separation of the chaotic system, when all eigenvalues of Jacobian matrix of the system have negative real parts which leads to that linear system of the synchronization error e(t) is asymptotically stable. Since the Lyapunov exponents are not required to calculate in construction of the new system, the proposed method is convenient for the synchronization of autonomous or non-autonomous systems, particularly for the synchronization of superchaotic systems with more than two positive Lyapunov exponents. The Lorenz system, the coupled Duffing oscillator and the R(?)ssler system were treated as numerical examples. The effectiveness and robustness of the new method is verified by the numerical results.

Abstract:Based on geometric theory of nonlinear feedback control, a new method to synchronize chaotic systems was put forward. As prerequisite of an appropriate smooth vector field by virtue of nonlinear differential geometry theory to assure the normalization of the receiver system was completed, and then in terms of differences of outputs and their different orders derivatives of the transmitter and receiver, the synchronization error state equations were constructed. By pole assignment, a nonlinear controller to synchronization output signals of two chaotic systems was also given and extended to the whole or part of the states of the two systems. As a result; numerical simulation to the Chua's circuit and its application in secure communication proves the efficacy of the suggested methods.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the problem of synchronization between two different chaotic systems with discontinuous coupling. Based on the stability theory and the comparison theorem of differential equations, we derive less restrictive synchronization conditions than those resulting from the Lyapunov theory. The theoretical results show that generalized synchronization between two different chaotic systems can be achieved if the time-average coupling strength is large enough. Finally, the corresponding numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed schemes.

Abstract:This paper presents an exponential synchronization scheme between two chaotic systems with different structures and parameters. A unified model consisting of a linear dynamic system and a bounded static nonlinear operator is employed to describe these totally different chaotic systems. A novel state feedback control law is established to exponentially synchronize the two unified models with different parameters. Most chaotic systems with different structures and parameters, such as Hopfield neural networks, cellular neural networks, Chua’s circuits, unified chaotic systems, Qi systems, and chaotic recurrent multilayer perceptrons, can be transformed into this unified model with the synchronization controller designed in a unified way. Two numerical examples are exploited to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed design schemes.

Abstract:This paper deals with the synchronization of chaotic systems with structure or parameters difference. Nonlinear differential geometry theory was applied to transform the chaotic discrepancy system into canonical form. A feedback control for synchronizing two chaotic systems is proposed based on sliding mode control design. To make this controller physically realizable, an extended state observer is used to estimate the error between the transmitter and receiver. Two illustrative examples were carried out: (1) The Chua oscillator was used to show that synchronization was achieved and the message signal was recovered in spite of parametric variations; (2) Two second-order driven oscillators were presented to show that the synchronization can be achieved and that the message can be recovered in spite of the strictly different model.

Abstract:This letter investigates the adaptive finite-time synchronization of different coupled chaotic (or hyperchaotic) systems with unknown parameters. The sufficient conditions for achieving the generalized finite-time synchronization of two chaotic systems are derived based on the theory of finite-time stability of dynamical systems. By the adaptive control technique, the control laws and the corresponding parameters update laws are proposed such that the generalized finite-time synchronization of nonidentical chaotic (or hyperchaotic) systems is to be obtained. These results obtained are in good agreement with the existing one in open literature and it is shown that the technique introduced here can be further applied to various finite-time synchronizations between dynamical systems. Finally, numerical simulations are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Abstract:Nonlinear control theory is successfully extended to fractional-order Chen systems to achieve synchronization. The corresponding fraction-order numerical algorithms are established. The analytical results are derived based on the Laplace transformation theory. Moreover, numerical simulations are shown to verify the effectiveness of the proposed synchronization schemes.

Abstract:The chaotic synchronizations of Chen's attractor and Lorenz chaotic systems linked by the difference of the nonlinear coupling function of the two systems are discussed. The method is an expansion of SC method (the method of chaotic synchronization based on the stability criterion). The special nonlinear-coupled functions are constructed by suitable separation between the linear term and the nonlinear term of chaotic systems. The state variable of the response system can be synchronized easily and completely onto that of the driver system without calculation of the maximum conditional Lyapunov exponent when the coupling strength is taken as constant one, and the zero point of synchronization error is asymptotically stable. The proposed method is effective for chaotic synchronization of Chen's and Lorenz system by numerical simulations.

Abstract:A new synchronization theorem for a class of chaotic systems is presented in this paper. We take the last state variable of drive system as the driving scalar signal. Its linear feedback gain is a function of a free parameter. It is also proved that the global synchronization can be attained through simple linear output error feedback. Abstract:The synchronization of two symmetrical nonlinear-coupled chaotic systems is discussed. A special nonlinear-coupled term is constructed by suitable separation between linear and nonlinear terms of the chaotic system. The phenomenon of stab le chaotic synchronization has been found in a certain region of the coupled str ength α=05. The stability of the synchronous state is examined by the sta bility criterion of linear systems and the conditional Lyapunov exponent. The Lo renz system and the hyper-chaotic Rssler system are treated as numerical exam ples. It is shown that the proposed method is effective for chaotic synchronizat ion of time-continued systems and hyper-chaotic systems.

We estimate the parameters and construct the proper controller with these estimations. It is also found that this scheme has general meaning and is effective in synchronizing other chaotic systems.

Abstract:Based on the Chen chaotic system, a new four-dimensional hyperchaotic Chen system is constructed, and the basic dynamic behaviours of the system were studied, and the generalized synchronization has been observed in the coupled four-dimensional hyperchaotic Chen system with unknown parameters. The Routh-Hurwitz theorem is used to derive the conditions of stability of this system. Furthermore based on Lyapunov stability theory, the control laws and adaptive laws of parameters are obtained to make generalized synchronization of the coupled new four-dimensional hyperchaotic Chen systems. Numerical simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of this method.
