Abstract:Objective This study aimed to summarize the obstetric outcomes of women with uterine malformations. Methods Clinical data of 108 pregnancy patients with uterine malformations who delivered in Peking University People's hospital from June 1990 to June 2009 were studied retrospectively,372 pregnant women with normal uterus delivered in the same period were randomly selected as control group.Data was analyzed by SPSS.Results ① Among 29 245 deliveries,108(0.4%)were with uterine anomalies.Among the all types of anomalies, septated uterus was the most common type accounting for 49.1%,followed by uterus didelphys(21.3%).② Patients with uterine anomalies had significantly higher rates of malpresentation(46.3%),which being the number one indication, resulting in a significant higher cesarean section(CS)rate(73.2%)compared with the control group.③ The average gestational age(37.2 w)and birth weight(2 837 g)in anomalies group were significant lower than in control group, and rates of the preterm birth(24.1%)and low birth weight neonates(6.5%)were significant higher than that incontrol group.④ Women with uterus didelphys had lower CS rate(64.2%)than other malformations. Conclusion Uterine malformation may have negative impact on the obstetrics outcomes,so the obstetrician should enhance the systematic care of these patients during the pregnancy.
