Analysis on HIV/AIDS Surveillance Data of Shandong Province in 2004

Abstract:[Objective]To understand the surveillance situation and epidemiological characteristics of HIVAIDS in Shandong Province in 2004 and provide a scientific basis for HIVAIDS control and prevention.[Methods]To analyze the surveillance data by SPSS 11.0.[Results]36 472 subjects of 9 kinds of population from 52 sentinels were monitored throughout the whole year,among which 14 were HIV antibody positive and 495 were syphilis antibody positive.According to the data of behavior surveillance,the venereal disease incidence of attendees to STD clinics was 71.8%,the using rate of condom was 15.4% among commercial sex workers.[Conclusion]The HIV infection situation was still in low level,but HIV infected people were found from 3 kinds of high risk population,so effective measures should be taken for HIVAIDS control and prevention.
