Evaluation of South America Andean Tuber-Ulluco Induced into Yunnan Province from CIP

Abstract:Ulluco was a large group of tube crops in south America ARTC,7 de-virus ulluco ecotype test-tuber plant induced from CIP was used as material in this experiment.In this experiment,the test-tuber plant was propagation by tissue culture.Comparative evaluation experiment was processed in greenhouse in Kunming,in open-field in Kunming,Shilin and Lijiang.Comparative evaluation experiment was also processed in Lijiang between greenhouse and open-field.The results showed that ecotype U5,U7 were the suitable ecotype for ulluco plant in greenhouse in Yunnan province;U5,U6,U7 were the most suitable ecotype to plant at open-field in Yunnan.The plant spot and ecotype may have great effect on growth index such as average height,diameter of stem,diameter of plant,maximum weight of tuber,average height of tuber and tuber yield,but not on nutrition index such as total sugar,total acids,vitamin C,crude fiber and protein.
