The Diversity of Calpain Gene Expression in Different Breeds and Tissues in Chicken

Abstract:In order to find out the difference of calpain(CAPN) gene expression in different chicken breeds and tissues, the difference of CAPN gene expression in different chicken breeds and tissues was studied by semi-quantitative RT-PCR analysis. the results indicated that CAPN gene were expressed in adequate quality broilers various kinds tissue and the CAPN gene expressed in muscle and liver were significant higher than those of other tissues(P 0.05). There was obvious difference in the expression in different chicken breeds muscles(P 0.05), the CAPN gene expression in high quality broilers muscles was higher than that in laying hens and Avian broilers, but there was no obvious difference in the expression in difference high quality broilers breeds and between Avian broilers and laying hens(P 0.05). The tissues expression pattern indicated that calpain was a ubiquitous protein in chicken, there was a obvious difference in the expression different breeds and tissues in chicken.
