A New Solution of WLAN Indoor Coverage

Abstract:In this paper a new WLAN indoor coverage solution is proposed based on those existing outdoor PHS stations. An environment model is also setup to describe the condition requirement and the coverage of the proposed solution. The test results have shown that the coverage is very good in the tested building and the indoor WLAN intensity of 95% area is -70 dBm or more. It proposes a way to solve the main shortages of general indoor WLAN and also exploits new application for PHS. It would be a new telecomm solution with low cost and high flexibility.
