Abstract:Objective To study the effects of pine pollen oil on the level of hyperlipemia patients, blood lipid.Methods100 patients with hyperlipemia, aged from 18 to 65 years, accompanied by the total cholesterol(TC) no less than 5.20 mmol/L and trig1ycerides(TG) no less than 1.65 mmol/L, were randomly divided into two groups:experimental group feeding with oil extracted from pine pollen orally at a dose of 2 g/days and blind control group feeding with placebo. The levels of total cholesterol(TC), blood triglycerides(TC), high-density lipopmtein(HDL-C), low-density lipopmtein(LDL-C) were detected at test start and after 30 days of the treatment and all side effects in 30 days were observed.ResultAfter 30 days of the treatment, the levels of blood TC, TG and LDL-C were decreased significantly than those before the treatment(P 0.05), the levels of blood HDL-C was increased than that before the treatment but not significantly.During the follow-up no severe side effects were found in the investigation. Conclusion Oil extracted with supercritical CO2 fluid from pine pollen can decrease the level of blood lipid, thus it was safe in the patients with hyperlipemia.
