Abstract:We study the exotic $J^{PC}=0^{--}$ four-quark states in Laplace sum rules (LSR) and finite energy sum rules (FESR). We use the vector tetraquark-like currents as interpolating currents in the correlator, from which the $1^{+-}$ states are also studied. In the mass extraction, we use the standard stability criterion with respect to the Borel parameters and the QCD continuum thresholds and consider the effect of the violation of factorization in estimating the high dimensional condensates as a source of uncertainties. The obtained mass prediction $1.66\pm0.14$ GeV is much lower than the previous sum rule predictions obtained using the scalar currents. Our result favours the four-quark interpretation of the possible $\rho\pi$ dominance in the $D^0$ decay. We also discuss the possible decay patterns of these exotic four-quark states.

Abstract:Within the framework of QCD sum rules, we have investigated the tetraquark states with three heavy quarks. We systematically construct the interpolating currents for the possible cc (c) over bar(q) over bar, cc (b) over bar(q) over bar, bc (b) over bar(q) over bar, bb (b) over bar(q) over bar tetraquark states with quantum numbers J(P) = 0(+) and J(P) = 1(+). Using these interpolating currents, we have calculated the two-point correlation functions and extracted the mass spectra for the above tetraquark states. We also discuss the decay patterns of these tetraquarks, and notice that the cc (c) over bar(q) over bar, cc (b) over bar(q) over bar, bc (b) over bar(q) over bar may decay quickly with a narrow width due to their mass spectra. The bb (b) over bar(q) over bar tetraquarks are expected to be very narrow resonances since their OZI (Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka)-allowed decay modes are kinematically forbidden. These states may be searched for in the final states with a B meson plus a light meson or photon.

Abstract:Non-relativistic QCD provides a systematic approach for inclusive decays and productions of a quarkonium. By taking the color-octet components into account, the approach can explain the ψ′-anomaly at Tevatron, where the measured production rate at large transverse momentum p⊥ is in order of magnitude larger than the predicted with color-singlet components only. With the approach one can predict that the produced J/ψ and ψ′ at large p⊥ will be transversely polarized. But such prediction fails in confronting with experimental measurements and this generates a puzzle. We examine the role of spin-flip interactions in the spin density matrix of the transition of a color-octet charm quark pair into J/ψ and ψ′. These interactions will introduce new non-perturbative parameters in the spin density matrix. Our result shows that the impact of the interactions is always to dilute the polarization and can be very significant. Taking the impact into account, predictions for the polarization are more close to the measured than the previous predicted. The same can also be expected for the polarization of J/ψ.

Abstract:Using the color-magnetic interaction Hamiltonian with SU(3) flavor symmetry breaking, we perform a schematic study of the masses of the J(P) = 1(+) tetraquarks in the antidecuplet representation. After diagonalizing the mass matrix, we find the ud (s) over bar (s) over bar tetraquark could lie as low as about 1350 MeV. It decays into (K+KK)-K-0 pi(0), K+K+pi(-), (KK0)-K-0 pi(+) via P-wave. The dual suppression from the not-so-big three-body phase space and P- wave decay barrier may render this exotic state rather narrow. Future experimental exclusion of this state will cast doubt on the validity of applying the simple color-magnetic Hamiltonian to the multiquark system.
On the possible existence of a $S=-3, \, I=1$ pentaquark

Abstract:We analyze the possible existence of a strangeness $S=-3$, isospin $I=1$ pentaquark state $P_{sss}$ generated dynamically from the $\bar{K}\Xi$ interaction. We employ a unitarized scheme in coupled channels based on the chiral Lagrangian expanded up to next-to-leading order (NLO), and show that the inclusion of the NLO terms is crucial to provide the necessary attraction that favors the existence of such triply strange pentaquark. The $\bar{K}\Xi$ femtoscopic correlation functions are calculated as example of a possible experimental measurement in which a direct signal of the $P_{sss}$ state could be observed.

Abstract:July accepted published We study the fully strange tetraquark states with the exotic quantum numbers JPC = 0+- and 2+-. We construct their corresponding diquark-antidiquark interpolating currents and apply the QCD sum rule method to calculate both their diagonal and off-diagonal correlation functions. The obtained results are used to construct some mixing currents that are nearly noncorrelated, from which we extract the masses of the lowest-lying states to be M0+- = 2.47+0.33 -0.44and M2+- = 3.07+0.25 -0.33 GeV. We apply the Fierz rearrangement to transform the diquark-antidiquark currents to be the combinations of meson-meson currents, and the obtained Fierz identities indicate that these two states may be searched for in the P-wave 0(1020)f0(1710)=0(1020)f02(1525)(-> 0K over bar K=0gg) channels.

Abstract:We study the fully strange tetraquark states with the exotic quantum numbers ${J}^{PC}={0}^{+\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${2}^{+\ensuremath{-}}$. We construct their corresponding diquark-antidiquark interpolating currents and apply the QCD sum rule method to calculate both their diagonal and off-diagonal correlation functions. We apply the Fierz rearrangement to transform the diquark-antidiquark currents to be the combinations of meson-meson currents, and the obtained Fierz identities indicate that these two states may be searched for in the $P$-wave $\ensuremath{\phi}(1020){f}_{0}(1710)/\ensuremath{\phi}(1020){f}_{2}^{\ensuremath{'}}(1525)(\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}K\overline{K}/\ensuremath{\phi}\ensuremath{\pi}\ensuremath{\pi})$ channels.
The Pentaquark Spectrum from Fermi Statistics

Abstract:We study compact hidden charm pentaquarks in the Born-Oppenheimer approximation, previously introduced for tetraquarks, assuming the heavy pair to be in a color octet. We show that Fermi statistics applied to the complex of the three light quarks, also in color octet, requires S-wave pentaquark ground states to consist of three octets of flavour-SU(3)_f, two with spin 1/2 and one with spin 3/2, in line with the observed, strangeness S=0,-1, spectrum. Additional lines corresponding to decays into J/\psi + Sigma and J/\psi + Xi are predicted. In the language of non-relativistic SU(6), ground state pentaquarks form either a 56 or a 20 representation, distinguished by presence or absence of pentaquarks decaying in the spin 3/2 decuplet, e.g. in J/\psi + Delta^++. Observation of a strangeness S=-2 or isospin I=3/2 pentaquarks would be a clear signature of compact, QCD bound pentaquarks.

Revisiting Hidden-Charm Pentaquarks from QCD Sum Rules

Abstract:We revisit hidden-charm pentaquark states P-c(4380) and P-c(4450) using the method of QCD sum rules by requiring the pole contribution to be greater than or equal to 30% in order to better that the one-pole parametrization is valid. We find two mixing currents, and our results suggest that P-c(4380) and P c (4450) can be identified as hidden-charm pentaquark states having J(P) = 3/2(-) and 5/2(+), respectively. However, there still exist other possible spin-parity assignments, such as J(P) = 3/2(+) and J(P) = 5/2(-), which must be clarified in further theoretical and experimental studies.

Abstract:We apply the method of QCD sum rules to study the $s q \bar s \bar q$ tetraquark states with the exotic quantum number $J^{PC} = 3^{-+}$, and extract mass of the lowest-lying state to be $2.33^{+0.19}_{-0.16}$ GeV. To construct the relevant tetraquark currents we need to explicitly add the covariant derivative operator. Our systematical analysis on their relevant interpolating currents indicates that: a) this state well decays into the $P$-wave $\rho\phi/\omega\phi$ channel but not into the $\rho f_2(1525)/\omega f_2(1525)/\phi f_2(1270)$ channels, and b) it well decays into the $K^*(892) \bar K_2^*(1430)$ channel but not into the $P$-wave $K^*(892) \bar K^*(892)$ channel.

Abstract:We use the method of QCD sum rules to systematically study the mass spectrum of hidden-charm pentaquarks of spin $J = {1\over2}/{3\over2}/{5\over2}$ and with the quark content $uud c \bar c$. Our results suggest that the $P_c(4380)$ and $P_c(4450)$ can be identified as hidden-charm pentaquark states having $J^P=3/2^-$ and $5/2^+$, respectively.

Abstract:We study the possible spin-1 charmonium-like states by using QCD sum rule approach. We calculate the two-point correlation functions for all the local form tetraquark interpolating currents with J(PC) = 1(--); 1(-+); 1(++) and 1(+-) and extract the masses of these tetraquark charmonium-like states. The mass of the 1(--) qc (q) over bar(c) over bar state is 4.6 similar to 4.7 GeV, which implies a possible tetraquark interpretation for Y(4660) meson. The masses for both the 1(++) qc (q) over bar(c) over bar and sc (s) over bar(c) over bar states are 4.0 similar to 4.2 GeV, which is slightly above the mass of X(3872). For the 1(-+) and 1(+-) qc (q) over bar(c) over bar states, the extracted masses are 4.5 similar to 4.7 GeV and 4.0 similar to 4.2 GeV respectively.

Abstract:We address the issue of the width and spin assignment of the $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$ pentaquark states. We calculate the partial decays widths of the particles into $J/\psi N$, $\bar{D} \Sigma_c$ and $\bar{D} \Lambda_c$ with the first one obtained within a unitary approach with the coupled channels of $J/\psi N$ and $\bar{D}^* \Sigma_c$ with the interaction driven by vector meson exchange, and the last two by means of triangle diagrams involving pion exchange which break the spin degeneracy of the vector meson exchange. The widths obtained depend much on the spin of the particles and we study the possible scenarios for spin assignment, favoring the $1/2^-$ , $3/2^-$ order. We predict values for decays in different channels and show that their determination would allow to decide unambiguously the spin of the states.

Abstract:We present a quenched lattice QCD calculation of spin-$1/2$ five-quark states with $uudd\overline{s}$ quark content for both positive and negative parities. We do not observe any bound pentaquark state in these channels for either $I=0$ or $I=1$. The states we found are consistent with $KN$ scattering states which are checked to exhibit the expected volume dependence of the spectral weight. The results are based on overlap-fermion propagators on two lattices, ${12}^{3}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}28$ and ${16}^{3}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}28$, with the same lattice spacing of 0.2 fm, and pion mass as low as $\ensuremath{\sim}180\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{M}\mathrm{e}\mathrm{V}$.

Abstract:In the framework of the color-magnetic interaction, we systematically investigate the mass splittings of the $QQ\bar{Q}\bar{q}$ tetraquark states and estimate their rough masses in this work. These systems include the explicitly exotic states $cc\bar{b}\bar{q}$ and $bb\bar{c}\bar{q}$ and the hidden exotic states $cc\bar{c}\bar{q}$, $cb\bar{b}\bar{q}$, $bc\bar{c}\bar{q}$, and $bb\bar{b}\bar{q}$. If a state around the estimated mass region can be observed, its nature as a genuine tetraquark is favored. The strong decay patterns shown here will be helpful to the experimental search for these exotic states.
Towards Exotic Hidden-Charm Pentaquarks in QCD

Abstract:Inspired by P_c(4380) and P_c(4450) recently observed by LHCb, a QCD sum rule investigation is performed, by which they can be identified as exotic hidden-charm pentaquarks composed of an anti-charmed meson and a charmed baryon. Our results suggest that P_c(4380) and P_c(4450) have quantum numbers J^P=3/2^- and 5/2^+, respectively. Furthermore, two extra hidden-charm pentaqurks with configurations D̅Σ_c^* and D̅^*Σ_c^* are predicted, which have spin-parity quantum numbers J^P=3/2^- and J^P=5/2^+, respectively. As an important extension, the mass predictions of hidden-bottom pentaquarks are also given. Searches for these partners of P_c(4380) and P_c(4450) are especially accessible at future experiments like LHCb and BelleII.
