Abstract:We consider a purely algebraic result. Then given a circle or cyclic group of prime order action on a manifold, we will use it to estimate the lower bound of the number of fixed points. We also give an obstruction to the existence of $\mathbb{Z}_p$ action on manifolds with isolated fixed points when $p$ is a prime.

Abstract:It is the main objective of this paper to show a vanishing result for cuspidal cohomology of arithmetic groups in classical groups~$G$ defined over some number field~$k$.Our approach relies on the fact that cuspidal automorphic forms are nonsingular in the sense of Howe. This result puts a strong constraint on the (archimedean components of) irreducible cuspidal automorphic representations of $G$that can possibly contribute to the cuspidal cohomology. Combining this with the classification of Vogan-Zuckerman of unitary representations with nonzero cohomologyprovides a constant $r_0(G/k)$, only depending on $G/k$, below which the cuspidal cohomology vanishes. We will give a formula for this constant for each classical group of type (I) in the classification scheme due to Weil. We conclude with making this result explicit for some split classical groups over a totally real algebraic number field.

Abstract:Let $KQ$ be a path algebra, where $Q$ is a finite quiver and $K$ is a field. We study $KQ/C$ where $C$ is the two-sided ideal in $KQ$ generated by all differences of parallel paths in $Q$. We show that $KQ/C$ is always finite dimensional and its global dimension is finite. Furthermore, we prove that $KQ/C$ is Morita equivalent to an incidence algebra. The paper starts with the more general setting, where $KQ$ is replaced by $KQ/I$ with $I$ a two-sided ideal in $KQ$.

Abstract:We study the path homology groups with coefficients in a general ring R, and show that such groups are always finitely generated. We further prove two versions of Eilenberg-Zilber theorem for the Cartesian product and the join of two regular path complexes over a commutative ring R. Hence Kunneth formulas are derived for the two cases over a PID. Note that this generalizes the related results proved for regular path complexes over a field K in [7], whose proofs can not be carried over here parallelly.

Abstract:Let $k$ be an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p>0$. For a loop $\circlearrowleft$, denote its path coalgebra by $k\circlearrowleft$. In this paper, all the finite-dimensional commutative Hopf algebras over the sub coalgebras of $k\circlearrowleft$ are given. As a direct consequence, all the commutative infinitesimal groups $\mathcal{G}$ with dim$_{k}$Lie$(\mathcal{G})=1$ are classified.
Characterization of Left Artinian Algebras Through Pseudo Path Algebras

Abstract:Abstract In this paper, using pseudo path algebras, we generalize Gabriel's Theorem on elementary algebras to left Artinian algebras over a field k when the quotient algebra can be lifted by a radical. Our particular interest is when the dimension of the quotient algebra determined by the nth Hochschild cohomology is less than 2 (for example, when k is finite or char k = 0). Using generalized path algebras, a generalization of Gabriel's Theorem is given for finite dimensional algebras with 2-nilpotent radicals which is splitting over its radical. As a tool, the so-called pseudo path algebra is introduced as a new generalization of path algebras, whose quotient by ken is a generalized path algebra (see Fact 2.6). The main result is that (i) for a left Artinian k–algebra A and r = r(A) the radical of A. if the quotient algebra A/r can be lifted then A ≅ PSEk (Δ, , ρ) with Js ⊂ (ρ) ⊂ J for some s (Theorem 3.2); (ii) If A is a finite dimensional k–algebra with 2-nilpotent radical and the quotient by radical can be lifted, then A ≅ k(Δ, , ρ) with 2 ⊂ (ρ) ⊂ 2 + ∩ ker (Theorem 4.2), where Δ is the quiver of A and ρ is a set of relations. For all the cases we discuss in this paper, we prove the uniqueness of such quivers Δ and the generalized path algebras/pseudo path algebras satisfying the isomorphisms when the ideals generated by the relations are admissible (see Theorem 3.5 and 4.4).

We achieved this by studying the geometric equivalence of $k[G]$ which we call circulant coordinate rings.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove that the multiplicative group of a unital non-commutative Leavitt path algebra $L_K(E)$ and Cohn path algebra $C_K(E)$ contain a non-cyclic free subgroup, provided $K$ is a non-absolute field. We also provide a description of the generators of free subgroups in term of the graph $E$. Finally, we determine multiplicative groups of Leavitt path algebras of some special types.

Abstract:The theory of path algebras is usually circunscripted to the study of representations, usually linked to finite graphs. In our work, we focus on studying the structure of path algebras over a field associated to arbitrary graphs. We characterise perfection (simplicity, primitivity, primeness and semiprimeness) and finitness conditions (artinianity, semiartinianity and noetherianity) in terms of geometric conditions in the associated graph. In order to do so, we also compute the socle and the Jacobson radical of a path algebra. In addition, we study the centroid of any path algebra and the extended centroid and central closure of the path algebra of a cycle. We obtain two structure theorems, one for semiprime path algebras, and another for noetherian ones. Semiprime path algebras are direct sum of simple, prime and primitive algebras, and noetherian path algebras modulo its radical will be isomorphic to upper triangular formal matrix algebras, they can also be seen as direct sums of path algebras of cycles and copies of the ground field itself.

Abstract:Let $G$ be a Kac-Moody group over a finite field corresponding to a generalized Cartan matrix $A$, as constructed by Tits. It is known that $G$ admits the structure of a BN-pair, and acts on its corresponding building. We study the complete Kac-Moody group $\hat{G}$ which is defined to be the closure of $G$ in the automorphism group of its building. Our main goal is to determine when complete Kac-Moody groups are abstractly simple, that is have no proper non-trivial normal subgroups. Abstract simplicity of $\hat{G}$ was previously known to hold when A is of affine type. We extend this result to many indefinite cases, including all hyperbolic generalized Cartan matrices $A$ of rank at least four. Our proof uses Tits' simplicity theorem for groups with a BN-pair and methods from the theory of pro-$p$ groups.

Abstract:Let $G$ be a finite group acting faithfully on a finite set $\Omega$. For a positive integer $k$, $G$ acts naturally on the Catesian product $\Omega^k := \Omega \times ...\times \Omega$. In this paper, we prove that finite nilpotent group $G$ with $2\nmid |G|$ is a totally $k$-closed group if and only if $G$ is abelian with $n(G)\leq k-1$ or cyclic, where $n(G)$ is the number of invariant factors in the invariant factor decomposition of $G$.

Abstract:Let A be a symmetrizable generalized Cartan matrix, which is not of finite or affine type. Let 𝔤 be the corresponding Kac-Moody algebra over a commutative ring R with 1. We construct an infinite-dimensional group G_V(R) analogous to a finite-dimensional Chevalley group over R. We use a ℤ-form of the universal enveloping algebra of 𝔤 and a ℤ-form of an integrable highest-weight module V. We construct groups G_V(ℤ) analogous to arithmetic subgroups in the finite-dimensional case. We also consider a universal representation-theoretic Kac-Moody group G and its completion G. For the completion we prove a Bruhat decomposition G(ℚ)=G(ℤ)B(ℚ) over ℚ, and that the arithmetic subgroup Γ(ℤ) coincides with the subgroup of integral points G(ℤ)

Abstract:We discuss the relative K-theory for a $C^{*}$-algebra, $A$, together with a $C^{*}$-subalgebra, $A' \subseteq A$. The relative group is denoted $K_{i}(A';A), i = 0, 1$, and is due to Karoubi. We present a situation of two pairs $A' \subseteq A$ and $B' \subseteq B$ are related so that there is a natural isomorphism between their respective relative K-theories. We also discuss applications to the case where $A$ and $B$ are $C^{*}$-algebras of a pair of locally compact, Hausdorff topological groupoids, with Haar systems.

On the K-theory of the AF core of a graph C*-algebra

Abstract:In this paper, we study multiplicative structures on the K-theory of the core $A:=C^*(E)^{U(1)}$ of the C*-algebra $C^*(E)$ of a directed graph $E$. In the first part of the paper, we study embeddings $E\to E\times E$ that induce a *-homomorphism $A\otimes A\to A$. Through Künneth formula, any such a *-homomorphism induces a ring structure on $K_*(A)$. In the second part, we give conditions on $E$ such that $K_*(A)$ is generate by "noncommutative line bundles" (invertible bimodules). The same conditions guarantee the existence of a homomorphism of abelian groups $K_0(A)\to\mathbb{Z}[\lambda]/(\det(\lambda\Gamma-1))$ (where $\Gamma$ is the adjacency matrix of $E$) that is compatible with the tensor product of line bundles. Examples include the C*-algebra $C(\mathbb{C}P^{n-1}_q)$ of a quantum projective space, the $UHF(n^\infty)$ algebra, and the C*-algebra of the space parameterizing Penrose tilings. For the first algebra, as a corollary we recover some identities that classically follow from the ring structure of $K^0(\mathbb{C}P^{n-1})$, and that were proved by Arici, Brain and Landi in the quantum case. Incidentally, we observe that the C*-algebra of Penrose tilings is the AF core of the Cuntz algebra $\mathcal{O}_2$, if the latter is realized using the appropriate graph.

Abstract:Let $k$ be an arbitrary field. We classify the maximal reductive subgroups of maximal rank in any classical simple algebraic $k$-group in terms of combinatorial data associated to their indices. This result complements [S, 2022], which does the same for the exceptional groups. We determine which of these subgroups may be realised over a finite field, the real numbers, or over a $\mathfrak{p}$-adic field. We also look at the asymptotics of the number of such subgroups as the rank grows large.
