Design of All-purpose Radar Automatic Test System

Abstract:Aimed at setting up integrated test of function and performance signals of variable radar system,changeable test adapter design technique is adopted to implement the radar automatic test system(ATS) hardware design based on the VXI and GPIB bus system.Thus,not only the problems caused by the numerous units under test,the different types of interfaces and the various kinds of signals are solved,but also the objective of resource sharing and developing an all-purpose ATS are realized.By adopting changeable test adapter technique,the radar ATS is designed,and with the help of ATS hardware,the required test items of the radar system are experimented and the test process control succeeded.Experiment results show that the radar ATS performs steadily,and the results meet the requirements of radar ATS.It can be concluded that the radar ATS provides effective guarantees for radar’s maintenance,fault diagnosis and fault detection.
