Abstract:The generalized Gause model of Predator–Prey system is proposed with an introduction of viral infection on prey population and anorexia response on predator population. By using the comparison theorem and constructing suitable Lyapunov function, we study such modified Predator–Prey system with almost periodic coefficients. Some sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence of a unique almost periodic solution. Numerical simulations of Predator–Prey system with anorexia response and the one without anorexia response are performed. Our observations suggest that anorexia response on predator population has a destabilizing effect on the persistence of such eco-epidemiological Predator–Prey system.

Abstract:An autonomous Lotka–Volterra mutualism system with random perturbations is investigated. Under some simple conditions, it is shown that there is a decreasing sequence {Δk} which has the property that if Δ1<1, then all the populations go to extinction (i.e. limt→+∞xi(t)=0,1≤i≤n); if Δk>1>Δk+1, then limt→+∞xj(t)=0, j=k+1,…,n, whilst the remaining k populations are stable in the mean (i.e., limt→+∞t−1∫0txi(s)ds=a positive constant, i=1,…,k); if Δn>1, then all the species are stable in the mean. Sufficient conditions for stochastic permanence and global asymptotic stability are also established.

Abstract:Stochastic cooperation model of two species with generalized dose-response function in a polluted environment is studied. Sufficient criteria for extinction, non-persistence in the mean, weak persistence in the mean, strong persistence in the mean and stochastic persistence are established. The threshold between weak persistence in the mean and extinction for each species is obtained. Certain long-run-average limits of the solutions are represented by two constants in some cases. The results also reveal that both the stochastic noises and the dose-response function play important roles in determining the persistence or extinction of the species.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with two $n$-species stochastic cooperative systems. One is autonomous, the other is non-autonomous. For the first system, we prove that for each species, there is a constant which can be represented by the coefficients of the system. If the constant is negative, then the corresponding species will go to extinction with probability 1; If the constant is positive, then the corresponding species will be persistent with probability 1. For the second system, sufficient conditions for stochastic permanence and global attractivity are established. In addition, the upper- and lower-growth rates of the positive solution are investigated. Our results reveal that, firstly, the stochastic noise of one population is unfavorable for the persistence of all species; secondly, a population could be persistent even the growth rate of this population is less than the half of the intensity of the white noise.

Abstract:This paper reports on the behaviors of single species models with and without pollution. We consider three basic models, one is deterministic, and others are stochastic. We first obtained the acute thresholds between local extinction and (stochastic) weakly persistent in the mean for population respectively. Then we study the attainability of population size 0 for the stochastic cases and show that a randomized non-autonomous logistic equation will be stochastic permanent under some conditions. Finally, we introduce some numerical simulink graphics to illustrate our main results.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with a stochastic single-species system with Levy jumps in a polluted environment. Some sufficient conditions on extinction, non-persistence in the mean, weak persistence in the mean, strong persistence in the mean, stability in the mean and stochastic permanence are obtained. The threshold between extinction and weak persistence in the mean is established. At the same time, under a simple condition, it is proved that this threshold also is the threshold between extinction and stability in the mean. The results reveal that Levy jumps have significant effects to the persistence and extinction results.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a nonautonomous competitive Lotka–Volterra system of two species with the effect of toxic substances. It is shown that toxic substances play an important role in the extinction of species. We prove that one of components will be driven to extinction while the other will stabilize at a certain solution of a logistic equation under some conditions.

Abstract:In this paper, we use a mean-reverting Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process to simulate the stochastic perturbations in the environment, and then a modified Leslie-Gower Holling-type II predator-prey stochastic model in a polluted environment with interspecific competition and pulse toxicant input is proposed. Through constructing V-function and applying Ito^'s formula, the sharp sufficient conditions including strongly persistent in the mean, persistent in the mean and extinction are established. In addition, the theoretical results are verified by numerical simulation.

Abstract:We consider a system of two stochastic differential equations (SDEs) with negative two-way interactions driven by Brownian motions and spectrally positive $\alpha$-stable random measures. Such a SDE system can be identified as a Lotka-Volterra type population model. We find close to sharp conditions for one of the population to go extinct or extinguishing.

For the first system, sufficient conditions for extinction, non-persistence in the mean, weak persistence and stochastic permanence are established. The critical number between weak persistence and extinction is obtained. For the second system, sufficient criteria for extinction, non-persistence in the mean, weak persistence in the mean, strong persistence in the mean and stochastic permanence are established. The critical number between weak persistence in the mean and extinction is obtained. It should be pointed out that this research is systematical and complete. In fact, the behaviors of the two models in every coefficient cases are cleared up by the results obtained in this paper.

Abstract:We investigate the global dynamics of the Lotka-Volterra systems with anti-symmetric interactions. We prove that the dynamics of system can be determined by some associated linear inequalities, which are of independent interest in linear programming. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions to the linear inequalities are established. When the solutions of the linear inequalities exist, the solutions of corresponding Lotka-Volterra systems are uniformly bounded, and the persistence and extinction of any species can be classified by an index set, which is uniquely determined by the linear inequalities. When the solutions of linear inequalities do not exist, the solutions of the Lotka-Volterra systems are unbounded. As an application, we analyze the three-species case and classify the long-time behaviors of the solutions to the system.

Abstract:This paper formulates and explores a nonautonomous impulsive stochastic predator-prey system with Beddington-DeAngelis (BD) functional response, where only the prey has a disease, which incorporates modified saturated incidence. The sufficient criteria of extinction and non-persistence in the mean of the target model are established, revealing that different intensities of stochastic perturbations contribute to dynamics of the system mentioned above. Stochastically ultimate boundedness is examined, and we further establish sufficient conditions for global attractivity. Our analytical findings are verified through numerical simulations.

Abstract:In this paper, a nonautonomous stochastic food-chain system with functional response and impulsive perturbations is studied. By using Itô’s formula, exponential martingale inequality, differential inequality and other mathematical skills, some sufficient conditions for the extinction, nonpersistence in the mean, persistence in the mean, and stochastic permanence of the system are established. Furthermore, some asymptotic properties of the solutions are also investigated. Finally, a series of numerical examples are presented to support the theoretical results, and effects of different intensities of white noises perturbations and impulsive effects are discussed by the simulations.

Abstract:By applying the comparison theorem, Lyapunov functional, and almost periodic functional hull theory of the impulsive differential equations, this paper gives some new sufficient conditions for the uniform persistence, global asymptotical stability, and almost periodic solution to a nonautonomous Lotka-Volterra predator-prey dispersal system with impulsive effects. The main results of this paper extend some corresponding results obtained in recent years.
