Effect of Implementation of Initial Medical Care at Community in Shenzhen and Thinking

Abstract:Objective To assess the correlativity between the patients' satisfaction and initial medical care at community through the survey of patients' satisfaction to community health services in Shenzhen city,in order to evaluate the implementation results of initial medical care at community.Methods A localized internationally standardized instrument,EUROPEP-questionnaire,on satisfaction survey was used to investigate 1 765 patients receiving medical services at 30 community health service centers in 6 districts of Shenzhen city.Results There were significant differences between the patients from labors' communities and those from non-labors' communities in general,communication,technique and administration satisfactions(P0.01).There were significant differences between the labor population and non-labor population in general and administration satisfactions(P0.01).In the two respects of providing you with the service of prevention of disease and letting you know preparation for referral to a hospital of higher level,there were significant differences in satisfaction between the persons without the referral experience and those with the referral experience(P0.05).Conclusion The implementation of initial medical care at community exacerbates the patients' dissatisfaction to service administration,so the administration of health services by community doctors should improved and the incentive policy for initial medical care at community needs to be adjusted.
