Abstract:This paper is to devote itself to an evaluation approach concerning the geological hazards in the deep-buried long tunnel engineering project through fuzzy-hierarchical analysis based on the comprehensive geological prediction.The reason that we would like to pick up the topic is that the geological hazards in this way have become a huge challenge to the safety tunnel con struction execution.It is often the case that serious geological disasters are involved in the construction of deeply-buried long tunnels,such as under-surface water inflow,the collapse of the tunnel under way,the rock bursts and some other geological disasters,which often lead to the disastrous influential factors that may affect the regular successful implementation of construction schedule and planning.To solve the problem,we have brought about the following evaluation and prediction suppositions of such disasters in the following way.First of all,we have proposed a principle of comprehensive prediction that should take the geological analysis as a foundation.At the same time,the application of the principle also involves various geophysical methods to be adopted.For example,it would be necessary to use the advanced drilling technology to verify the results that have been gained on the basis of local geological forecasts and relevant exploration findings.The geological predication results are to be gained to provide necessary geological data and information,such as the geological quality and the unfavorable geological conditions,the poor geological points to be chosen as the engineering positions and sites as well as the likely geologic disasters to be involved here and there.Secondly,further evaluation of geological disaster risks of the tunnel construction has to be done based on the results of the newly found geological disaster probabilities,which may help to achieve the qualitative evaluations and analyses on the forefront geological situations rather than fuzzy evaluation ones.Some of the newly found results can be more or less intuitive from the point of view of practical guidance.And,last of all,we have managed successfully to adopt the geological disaster risk assessment system to Micangshan tunnel and obtained the risk grades of the water inflow,collapse,serious deformation and rock bursts as well as the overall risks and geological hazards.Thus,it can be concluded that the geological hazards that most likely to take place are the water inflow;and then the tunnel collapse,though serious de formation and rock bursts would be less likely to appear in such cases.To be exact,the overall risk probability should be equal to 3.3378,which means of the medium risk grades.Hence,the results of the risk assessment may in some ways help to prepare the construction plan in reducing the risk of construction and provide some guides for the successful implementation of the tunnel con struction planing.
