The Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis of Berberine

Abstract:To establish a HPLC method for the determination of Berberine in Coptis chinensis F ranch.LC separation was achieved using a kromasil C18(250 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm) maintained at 30 ℃.The mobile phase consisted of A(acetonitrile) and B(0.2% acetic acid and 10 mmol·L-1 ammonium acetate) with linear gradient elution.The detect wavelength was 345 nm.The flow rate was 1 mL/min during the whole gradient cycle.The linear concentration range was from 5 μg/mL～50 μg/mL.The average recovery was 99.56%,RSD=2.75%.The method is simple,accurate,rapid and reproducible.It can be used to detect the content of berberine.
