Abstract:This paper used a field method to study the learning effectiveness of 21 virtual teams.It mainly focused on how team efficacy and goal orientation influenced the three effectiveness variables of virtual team learning,i.e.,skill improvement,team task and team well-being.It also studied the mediating effect of virtual team attitudes which included both the attitude towards virtual team learning and interpersonal trust among team members.The results reveal that virtual team efficacy goal orientation have a positive effect on learning effectiveness,and the attitude towards virtual team learning and team trust have a mediative or direct effect on the effectiveness of vitual team learning.

Abstract:The urbanization process brings a huge challenge for the city community management. Through the analysis of domestic community management model, this paper proposes the community resources plan based on the theory of virtual organization, and constructs the community virtual organization model and the information sharing model, which has realized the community residents autonomous and community's integrated management through meta-synthesis community related resources. Based on the project management theory, this paper also constructs the new city community management model through the research of community resources plan. It can change the plot's decentralized management into community's integrated management and effectively solve some problems of the community management system.

Abstract:This study investigated 62 virtual teams,distinguished between identified mental model and distributed mental(model),and tested the relationship among team characteristics,shared mental model and virtual team effectiveness using hierarchical linear modeling.Results demonstrated that two kind of shared mental model were positively related to team effectiveness;time variable would weaken the positive relationship between identified shared mental model and task performance,and enhance the effect of distributed shared mental model on task effectiveness;virtual team size would affect the relationship between shared mental model and cooperative effectiveness,team size could enhance the effect of identified mental model on cooperative effectiveness,but weaken the relationship between distributed mental model and cooperative effectiveness.

Abstract:Virtual organizations are increasingly pervasive in knowledge work, despite significant challenges with respect to support for common ground, member awareness, sense of community, work coupling, incentives, and other issues. Understanding how specific sociotechnical affordances of VOs can enhance effectiveness in new and distinctive ways will improve our understanding of virtual organizations, and of computer-mediated human activity. We analyze and synthesize relatively fragmented existing research to develop a schematic success model for virtual organization effectiveness. We suggest that this research could progress through developing and validating a pattern language for virtual organizations, which we illustrate, drawing from ongoing fieldwork.

Abstract:Ten years ago, Martins, Gilson, and Maynard reviewed the emerging virtual team (VT) literature. Given the proliferation of new communication technologies and the increased usage of work teams, it is hardly surprising that the last decade has seen an influx of VT research. In this review, we organize the last 10 years of empirical work around 10 main themes: research design, team inputs, team virtuality, technology, globalization, leadership, mediators and moderators, trust, outcomes, and ways to enhance VT success. These themes emerged inductively because they either represent areas with consistent results, a large proliferation of studies, or a grouping of studies and results that differed from where the literature stood a decade ago. Following the review section, we turn our attention toward 10 opportunities for future research: study setting, generational impacts, methodological considerations, new and emerging technologies, member mobility, subgroups, team adaptation, transition processes and planning, creativity, and team member well-being. Some of these opportunities emerged from our review of the extant VT literature; others are grounded in the broader team literature, are unresolved theoretical issues, or were linked to insights discussed within the VT practitioner literature. Within the domain of VTs, technological innovation continues to advance the way team members interact and enable individuals who previously could not be connected to work together as a team. Accordingly, VTs provide great promise to organizations, and the field continues to be rich with research opportunities for the coming decade(s).

Abstract:With the comprehensive infiltration of information and network technology, the virtual survival of undergraduates has inevitably become a cultural phenomenon. With the guidance of the Marxism spirit of human concern and cultural psychology style, this paper conducts an in-depth analysis on the sorts of situations, and presents a theory structuring on the regulation from a cultural perspective. This paper gets original data from questionnaires done by 678 students from Zhejiang University of Finance & Economics, and preprocesses the initial data into useful data. Then the differences between six contents of the Internet are confirmed by chi-square test. This paper proposes a possible way of establishing a virtual survival space with the spirit of humanistic concern and a cultural atmosphere.

Abstract:This chapter aims to investigate the research status and development of virtual community (VC) in China by a critique of library and information science (LIS) journal articles and to put forward future directions in virtual community for the researchers in our discipline. We used a multiple case of methods including bibliometric approaches (such as keyword frequency and co-word analysis) and a coding system to reveal several characteristics of the research status quo and trends. The results show that from 2000 to the present, VC-related research by LIS Chinese scholars has experienced rapid development with an increasing number of academic papers, authors, journals and institutions. However, LIS research is still at an early stage with the slow introduction of fundamental concepts and frameworks, lack of theoretical support, and organisations focused on empirical studies. VC-related research in China in recent years fully demonstrates its diversified attributes. Our study is limited to the analysis of academic journal literature published in mainland China while excluding dissertations and books, and publications in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Our classification system also needs to be more specific. Our findings have implications for researchers, students, journals and sponsors of Chinese LIS research related to virtual communities.

Abstract:The increasing utilization of virtual teams—driven by advancements in information and communication technology and the forces of globalization—has spurred significant growth in both theoretical and empirical research. Based on the smart literature review framework, this study harnesses artificial intelligence techniques, specifically natural language processing and topic modeling, to extensively analyze the trends in virtual team research spanning the last four decades. Analyses of a dataset comprising 2,184 articles from Scopus-indexed journals discern 16 distinct topics, encompassing critical areas such as communication, leadership, and trust. The trajectory of research topics in this field has witnessed increasing diversification over time. Key subjects such as learning, communication, trust, and leadership have consistently maintained their presence among the ten most frequently explored topics. In contrast, emerging areas such as agile development and patient care have recently become some of the most prominent themes. Employing the state-of-the-art topic modeling technique, BERTopic, this study furnishes a comprehensive and dynamic panorama of the evolving landscape within virtual team research.

Abstract:After reviewing the relative literature at home and abroad on the management of virtual society,this paper finds that the researches abroad are mainly of medium measures,different from many Chinese ones which adopt the macro-level political research perspective.Still,foreign scholars have interest in the political interaction between the Chinese Government and the virtual society.Existing researches on the virtual society in China are mainly strategic analysis on the level of technique,value and system,and they can be improved in the following ways: from being single to multiple research disciplines,from using a single theory to diverse standardized methods,from adopting the traditional perspective of state control to that of multiple government,and from making urgent scheme to integrating different data to set up data modeling.In addition,researches on the management of the virtual society shall break the limit of the Internet,respond to the contradicts and relieve the resentment in the real society.Only in this way can the virtual society be effectively governed.

Abstract:We review prior research that has examined virtuality in teams (e.g., pertaining to the use of electronic media) or the global nature of teams (e.g., national and cultural differences), demonstrating that very few scholars have examined both simultaneously. Given that the global and virtual elements often coincide in the same team, this is a critical gap in research, particularly because these two features may interact in important ways, amplifying or mitigating the effects of each other. After elaborating on potential interactions, we set forth future research directions, which incorporate both global and virtual elements of teams and in doing so, better address the complexity of working in these increasingly common collaborative forms.

Abstract:Virtual Enterprise (VE) is an innovational organization model and meets new market demands. In order to know the re-search progress in the field of virtual enterprise, published articles about virtual enterprise between 1976 and 2012 are retrieved from Web of Science database. Using the method of bibliometrics, the distribution of publication years, countries, institutions, periodicals and authors in this area is discussed. The study about VE entered a period of rapid development from 1991 and some countries such as the United States, the England and China have certain advantages. The journals of Organization science, Management Review and A-cademy of Management Journal have higher citation frequency. Then, through the applying of Cite Space Ⅱ software, statistical analy-sis and visualization of key words are made and finds that he hot spots and cutting-edge of research in this field include how to build business alliances and the index system of performance evaluation, the method of partner choice, knowledge management, trust mech-anism and collaborative innovation.

Abstract:This study aims to investigate the application and effectiveness of virtual electronic experiments in engineering theoretical mechanics education. By reviewing the current research status both domestically and internationally, the concept and advantages of virtual experiment teaching are analyzed. In addition, the interface and operational process of the virtual electronic experiment are designed and applied to engineering theoretical mechanics classrooms. Through analyzing students' experimental results and learning feedback, the teaching effect is evaluated and improvement strategies are proposed. The aim is to promote the development of virtual electronic experiment teaching in engineering theoretical mechanics, improve teaching effectiveness, and enhance students' learning experience.

Abstract:Abstract This article presents an empirical study of the labor process of internet virtual teams. It argues that organizations with a “horizontally virtual and vertically real” structure face a dilemma in the virtual team labor process. While a culture of engineers, which embodies equality, liberty, and cooperation, is the cultural basis of the virtual team, management is bureaucratic, emphasizing individual interests and hierarchical features. The coexistence of the two leads to cooperation and division of labor in virtual teams. Essentially, this is a compromising institutional arrangement adopted by corporations to triangulate technology culture and managerial control to obtain surplus value. Based on the preceding discussion, this paper ends by proposing a new theoretical framework for studying the labor process under the technological conditions of the internet.
Exploration of Team Mental Model Characteristics to Identify Opportunities and Hindrances in Global Virtual Teamwork

Abstract:While there is a significant volume of literature that studies teamwork, the research in virtual teams and global virtual teamwork is still developing. The current research acknowledges the popularity of virtual teamwork in today’s organizations and sheds light on the differences between global virtual and other forms of teamwork using different features of the team mental model. Compared to traditional or face-to-face teams, global virtual teams can usually achieve more significant team process gains, suggesting the existence of opportunities, while disengagement might lead to losses, indicating potential hindrances. This research aims to identify particular features of global virtual teamwork and ways in which they impact performance, using the concept of team mental model. The model is conceptualized as teams’ thought processes reflected in their members common knowledge. We examine the concept of team mental model in the form of cohesiveness, task abilities, and social loafing. We propose that virtual teams’ cohesiveness can present both opportunities and hindrances for team performance, promoting performance orientation, stimulated by the use of communication and collaboration technologies, while potentially hurting outcomes depending on the level of individualistic value orientations or anti-work norms are prevalent within the team. We also propose that global virtual teams benefit from epistemic opportunities because they have access to wide-ranging and far-reaching perspectives generated by diverse team members, as well as knowledge heterogeneity and within team cross-learning potential. Conversely, motivational losses in the form of social loafing and trust development hinder processes and outcomes of global virtual teamwork.

Abstract:<p>Virtual teams, through their ability to bridge space over time, are an important component of globally dispersed enterprises. Inclusion consists of a team's mission, effort, and practice to sustain a diverse workplace and leverage the influence of diversity to realize a rival business advantage. This study examined the role of inclusive non-spatial proximity and knowledge sharing in fostering innovation performance of virtual teams. Survey responses were received from 143 subjects with working experience in virtual teams of the top-2000 global enterprises in Taiwan and China that possess high rankings in the integration of international cooperation. The model was assessed and validated using partial least squares regression. According to the empirical results, organizational proximity influences technical innovation through knowledge contribution. Furthermore, cognitive proximity influences technical innovation through knowledge absorption. Finally, the relationships between cognitive proximity and knowledge absorption and between institutional proximity and knowledge contribution were shown to have industrial differences.</p>
