Abstract:The paper introduces the development of the research on the direct economic damage estimation of the factual buildings,and the latest research result of the damage estimation based on the second generation earthquake engineering frame,including the residue transformation,the loss decomposition,the tool box for loss estimation,and points out the current research needs to be improved and much detailed loss estimation research be implemented in China.
