Abstract:Multinational Companies(MNC) face great challenges in making the right ethical decisions in a cross-cultural context. Some writings recently suggest that the processes of cross-cultural ethical actions are complex and multifaceted, and many faults of international business are the result of overlooking cross-cultural ethical capability.Till now there has been little guidance in the literature about how a MNC can enhance its capability in dealing with international business ethics. And obviously sound ethical capability is an overlooked potential source of competitive advantage to the MNC.This paper briefly reviews current approaches to addressing the issues of ethics in a cross-cultural context and concludes with a description of how transformational leadership, organizational learning, and human resource management(HRM) are integral to building MNC capabilities in global ethics.
