‘Huawan Wuzi Shatangju’,A Late-maturing Mandarin Cultivar

Abstract:‘Huawan Wuzi Shatangju’,a new seedless and late-maturing mandarin cultivar,was selected from‘Wuzi Shatangju’through bud mutation. Fruit is small,weighing around 45.0 g. The average seed number per fruit is less than 2.0,so it may be regarded as seedless. Fruit are oblate in shape,with an orange thin rind. The pulp is orange red,sweet,fibreless and crisp,containing total soluble solids(TSS) of 14.43%. Its full bloom occurs in middle-late March and fruits are mature in late January to early February,more than 30 days later than‘Wuzi Shatangju’.
