Abstract:In the Bill of Quantities mode, the bidder must take risks of his tender offer. This paper researched on the uncertainty of construction projects costs, proposed Monte Carlo simulation method and procedure to simulate the construction projects costs on the basis of the construction projects costs conform to the characteristics of normal distribution, and also put forward a method to calculate risks of the tender offer in accordance with the established bidding strategy, which are helpful to the risk management and control of project contracting enterprises.

Abstract:The responsibilities and functions in project safety risk management for designers and contractors are discussed. Generally the process of risk management is divided into three stages: the risk identification, evaluation, and decision making. The former two are mainly the designer's responsibility, for which a model of sub-system risk management approach is put forward. The model is exemplified and analyzed with real cases. The feasibility in risk identification and evaluation period is proved. The evaluation criteria of occurrence probability of unexpected events and severity of outcomes are rationally set up in evaluation method, which provide the scientific basis in risk evaluation of the construction safety.

Abstract:Bill of quantity pricing mode has been widely used in current projects,and the unit price is the most important part of the bill of quantity pricing mode.The method of identifying a reasonable and accurate unit price is the key issue that the bidders need to resolve.The construction of unit price was analyzed and the risk factors were outlined.The basic method of risk quantitative analysis included in unit price was presented.The influence of unbalanced pricing strategy taken by bidders to unit price was considered.The references were put forward to determine unit price which helps to improve the overall level of biding.

Abstract:Under the bill of quantities pricing model, the price of the contract is determined in advance, making the focus of enterprise project cost management be to control the expenditure of construction costs on the premise of established revenue, reduce the risks brought about by the bill of quantities pricing model, strengthen cost control, give play to the advantages of strategic cost management, and ultimately minimize project risks to maximize the benefits obtained by the enterprise. This paper mainly analyzes the problems existing in the cost control and cost management process of construction enterprises under the bill of quantities pricing mode, and proposes corresponding solutions based on the existing problems, hoping to increase the profits of enterprises from cost control and improve their market competitiveness.

Abstract:Bidding is a necessary procedure for the implementation of construction projects, but also an important link in the preliminary stage of construction projects, it is not only the core procedure to control the schedule, quality and cost, but also a necessary means for the procedural management of construction projects. Therefore, this paper analyses the risk of bidding for construction projects through the Gantt chart method, bidding method, and puts forward the corresponding risk management measures, the first part of the potential risk of bidding analysis, the second part of the risk management in the project bidding through the three parts of the business, internal, and supervision of risk management research, and the third part of the risk management of the measures to cope with the risk management, I hope that this paper's research can give the help related to construction project bidding.

Abstract:Construction projects usually involve high investments. Hence, the project cost risk analysis during the project bids phase is important. In fact, the costs of construction projects nearly always exceed the planned scenario. This research presents the cost risk analysis method during the project bids phase with the input parameter as the uncertainty variable. The uncertainty variable distribution in this research built on the historical data set of 130 projects invested in the period of 2015-2019. The research has shown that the input parameters as the uncertainty variables are the causes affecting the risks encountered when the contractor executes the project. Moreover, this research also has shown that the Monte Carlo simulation and sensitivity analysis is the tool to detect and risk management.

Abstract:Construction enterprises know little about actual project information from different views when bidding. So the bid price is an expectation value. All kinds of uncertainties occurring in the construction such as bad weather will lead the price may be higher than bidding one,which results in bid risk. Focusing on the various risk factors which construction enterprises encounter when bidding,this paper devoted to the risk probability and its influence on the project benefit combing probability estimation and fuzzy mathematics theory. The risk measure was used to weigh the risk value of bid to provide the decision base for the construction enterprises.

Abstract:Currently, the phenomenon of winning the bid with the low-priced is appeared in Chinese engineering project tender offer market. Some existing papers analyze this problem from the view point of the practice operation but the theoretical analysis is absence. In first, this paper builds the new tender offer and quoted price model considering the construction quality; secondly, because the construction quality couldn't be observed in advance by the owner, this problem is the incomplete information game. The paper analyzes the construction quality problem and adverse selection problem for the above tender offer and quoted price model. At lastly, the paper puts forward some measures to avoid the shortcoming of winning the bid with the low-priced.

Abstract:This paper presents a risk assessment model for tendering of Chinese building projects on the basis of identification and evaluation of the major risk events in the Chinese construction market, investigations and interviews from which the factors inducing the risk events were determined, questionnaires on building projects within China's borders, and the logistic regression method. The findings show that, to a certain extent, the risk of tendering for projects and the risk of a contracted project can be assessed through analysis of factors such as owner type, source of project financing, existence or lack of past cooperation between contractors and owners, the intensity of competition for tendering, the reasonableness of the bid price, and the degree of support from the contracting company to its projects. The model can serve as a supplementary tool for Chinese contractors in making decisions for project tendering within Chinese borders. At the same time, it is of reference significance for international contractors, enabling them to further understand the risks in the contract market for Chinese building projects.
