Evaluation and process of intra-abdominal hypertension and abdominal compartment syndrome

Abstract:Intra-abdominal hypertension may cause abdominal compartment syndrome directly.Judging exactly intra-abdominal pressure,selecting and monitoring risk factors of patients with high intra-abdominal hypertension,such as diminished abdominal wall compliance,increased intra-luminal contents,capillary leak /fluid resuscitation,etc.were necessary.According to causes of disease,the effective methods are adopted such as evacuating intra-luminal contents,evacuating occupying lesions of intra-abdominal space,optimizing fluid administration,and optimizing systemic /regional perfusion,so that to reduce intra-abdominal pressure,to prevent intra-abdominal hypertension turns into abdominal compartment syndrome.
