Application of direct methanol fuel cell in portable personal computers

Abstract:Direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) has such advantages as high-energy and power density, high reliability, and is easy to store and transport. So it was well developed as the power system for portable PC use. The development of the portable PC using DMFC as their power-system was introduced. The research and development of the critical parts of DMFC used in portable PC were reviewed. The problems of DMFC were proposed and the developing tendency was prospected.
