Abstract:Tin coatings are widely applied in electronic elements, appliance, and food packing. However, tin coatings are easily corroded and fade in color, which is unfavorable to their appearance and leads to the increase of the contact resistance and the decrease of welding ability. The products and mechanism of color fading of tin coatings were reviewed, and the anti-fading process including the effects of technological parameters on the color protection and the composition of the film were introduced as well.
