Continuous Hepatic Artery Infusion FUDR Combined with Intravenous OXA in the Treatment of Metastatic Hepatic Carcinoma

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the efficacy and adverse effect of continuous hepatic artery infusion FUDR combined with intravenous OXA in the treatment of metastatic hepatic carcinoma.Methods Twenty-eight patients were treated with continuous intrahepatic arterial infusion FUDR combined with intravenous OXA.All of the patients were suffered from liver metastases of colorectal or gastric cancer.2-6 cycles were performed.All of the cases were followed up 44 months.CT scan were performed in all of the patients before and after chemotherapy to evaluate the efficacy of the treatment.Results The overall response rate was 42.8%.Median survival time(MST) was 25 months,MST was 15.5 months in liver metastases later.The survival rates at 1-year,2-year and 3-year were 89.3%,67.8% and 25.0%,respectively.There was no severe side effect or complication.Conclusion New chemotherapy regimen FUDR/OXA was safety and efficacy with local therapy combined system therapy and can prolong life span of the patients.
