Abstract:We study the two point correlation function of two nucleon currents sandwiched between the vacuum and the pion state. The light cone QCD sum rules are derived for the pi NN coupling g(pi NN) and the pi NN(1535) coupling g(pi NN*). The contribution from the excited states and die continuum is subtracted cleanly through the double Borel transform with respect to the two external momenta p(1)(2), p(2)(2)=(p-q)(2). We first improve the original sum rule for g(pi NN) and determine the value of the pion wave function phi(pi)(u(0) = 1/2) = 1.5+/-0.2, which is a fundamental nonperturbative quantity similar to the quark condensate. Our calculation shows that the pi NN(1535) coupling is strongly suppressed. [S0556-2813(99)00301-5].

Abstract:The light cone QCD sum rules are derived for the K*K pi coupling gK*K pi and the rho pi pi coupling g rho pi pi. The contribution from the excited states and the continuum is subtracted cleanly through the double Borel transform with respect to the two external momenta, p(1)(2) p(2)(2) = (p-q)(2). Our result gK*K pi = (8.7 +/- 0.5) and g(rho pi pi) = (11.5 +/- 0.8) is in good agreement with the experimental value.

Abstract:We derive the light cone QCD sum rule for the eta NN coupling constant g (eta NN). The contribution from the excited states and the continuum is subtracted cleanly through the double Borel transform with respect to the two external momenta. p(1)(2),p(2)(2) = (p - q)(2). Our result is alpha (eta NN) = (0.3+/-0.15), which favors small values used in the literature.

Abstract:We compute g(D*D pi) and g(B*B pi) using a framework in which all elements are constrained by Dyson-Schwinger equation studies of QCD and therefore incorporates a consistent, direct, and simultaneous description of light and heavy quarks and the states they may constitute. We link these couplings with the heavy-light-meson leptonic decay constants and thereby obtain g(D*D pi) = 15.9(-1.0)(+2.1) and g(B*B pi) = 30.0(-1.4)(+3.2). From the latter, we infer (g) over cap (B) = 0.37(-0.02)(+0.04). A comparison between g(D*D pi) and g(B*B pi) indicates that when the c quark is a system's heaviest constituent, Lambda(QCD)/m(c)-corrections are not under good control.

Abstract:A bstract We revisit the calculation of the strong couplings D ∗ Dπ and B ∗ Bπ from the QCD light-cone sum rules using the pion light-cone distribution amplitudes. The accuracy of the correlation function, calculated from the operator product expansion near the light-cone, is upgraded by taking into account the gluon radiative corrections to the twist-3 terms. The double spectral density of the correlation function, including the twist-2, 3 terms at $$ \mathcal{O}\left({\alpha}_s\right) $$ O α s and the twist-4 LO terms, is presented in an analytical form for the first time. This form allows us to use various versions of the quark-hadron duality regions in the double dispersion relation underlying the sum rules. We predict $$ {g}_{D^{\ast } D\pi}={14.1}_{-1.2}^{+1.3} $$ g D ∗ Dπ = 14.1 − 1.2 + 1.3 and $$ {g}_{B^{\ast } B\pi}={30.0}_{-2.4}^{+2.6} $$ g B ∗ Bπ = 30.0 − 2.4 + 2.6 when the decay constants of heavy mesons entering the light-cone sum rule are taken from lattice QCD results. We compare our results with the experimental value for the charmed meson coupling and with the lattice QCD calculations.

Abstract:The value of the $\ensuremath{\Lambda}(1405)\overline{K}N$ coupling constant ${g}_{\ensuremath{\Lambda}(1405)\overline{K}N}$ is obtained by fitting it to the experimental data on the total cross sections of the ${K}^{\ensuremath{-}}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}^{0}$ reaction. On the basis of an effective Lagrangian approach and isobar model, we show that the value $|{g}_{\ensuremath{\Lambda}(1405)\overline{K}N}|=1.51\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.10$ could be extracted from the available experimental data by assuming that the $s$-channel $\ensuremath{\Lambda}(1405)$ resonance plays a dominant role, whereas, the background contributions from the $s$-channel $\ensuremath{\Lambda}(1115)$, $t$-channel ${K}^{*}$, and $u$-channel nucleon pole processes are small and can be neglected. However, the $u$-channel nucleon pole diagram may also give an important contribution in the present calculations. After the background contributions are taken into account, the above value of ${g}_{\ensuremath{\Lambda}(1405)\overline{K}N}$ is reduced to $|{g}_{\ensuremath{\Lambda}(1405)\overline{K}N}|=0.77\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.07$, which is not supported by the previous calculations and the recent CLAS measurements. The theoretical calculations on differential cross sections are also presented, which can be checked by future experiments.

Abstract:We present an improved calculation of the $D_{(s)}^*D_{(s)}V$ and $B_{(s)}^*B_{(s)}V$ coupling constants, where $V$ denotes $\rho$, $K^\ast$, $\omega$, and $\phi$ meson. These couplings govern the QCD long-distance dynamics in interactions between heavy pseudoscalar/vector mesons and light vector mesons. Our analysis is conducted within the framework of QCD light-cone sum rules (LCSRs) by utilizing the light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) of light vector mesons. By systematically incorporating the subleading power corrections and higher-twist contributions at leading order (LO) and including the next-to-leading order (NLO) corrections at leading power, we achieve enhanced accuracy in the light-cone operator product expansion (OPE) for the underlying correlation function. In assessing the reliability of the established LCSRs, we consider uncertainties arising from the choice of the quark-hadron duality region in the double dispersion relation. Building upon these improvements, we accomplish an optimized computation and analysis for the strong coupling constants $g_{H^\ast HV}$ which are used to extract the effective coupling $\lambda$ in the heavy meson chiral perturbation theory (HM$\chi$PT). Furthermore, we investigate the $SU(3)$ flavour symmetry breaking effects in detail and compare our sum rule calculations with previous studies in an exploratory way.

Abstract:In this article, we study the vertices $D^*D^*P$, $D^*DV$ and DDV with the light-cone QCD sum rules. The strong coupling constants g_{D^*D^*P}, g_{D^*DP}, f_{D^*DV}, f_{D^*D^*V}, g_{DDV} and g_{D^*D^*V} play an important role in understanding the final-state interactions in the hadronic B decays. They relate to the basic parameters g, $\lambda$ and $\beta$ in the heavy quark effective Lagrangian respectively. Our numerical values of the g, $\beta$ and $\lambda$ are much smaller than most of the existing estimations. If the predictions from the light-cone QCD sum rules are robust, the final-state interaction effects maybe overestimated in the hadronic B decays.

Revisiting the b1 pi and rho pi decay modes of the 1-+ light hybrid state with light-cone QCD sum rules

Abstract: We study the $\rho\pi$ and $b_1\pi$ decay modes of the $1^{-+}$ light hybrid state within the framework of light-cone QCD sum rules. We use both the tensor current $\bar\psi\sigma_{\mu\nu}\psi$ and the derivative current $\bar{\psi}\overleftrightarrow{D}_\mu\gamma_5\psi$ as interpolating currents to calculate the partial decay width of the $b_1\pi$ decay mode. Comparing the sum rules obtained by using different currents, we obtain $\Gamma(\pi_1\to b_1\pi)$ = 8--23, 32--86 and 52--151\,MeV for $m_{1^{-+}}$ = 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0\,GeV respectively, which favour the results from the flux tube models and lattice simulations. We also use the tensor current to study the $\rho\pi$ decay mode, and although an extended stability criterion is needed, our results suggest a small partial decay width.

Abstract:In the limit of large N-c we first consider the N-c ordering of the various parity-violating pi, N, Delta couplings. Then we derive the relations among these couplings and consistency relations from the stability of these couplings under the chiral loop corrections with and without the mass splitting between N and Delta. Especially we find that h(Delta)=-35h(pi) in the large N-c limit, which correctly reproduces the relative sign and magnitude of the Desplanques-Donoghue-Holstein values for these parity-violating couplings.

Abstract:The decay widths of the 0(++) and 1(-+) heavy-light, hybrids to B(D) and pion are calculated by using the QCD sum rules. The interpolated current of the hybrid is chosen as <g(q)over bar>gamma(alpha)G(alpha mu)(a)T(a)h(upsilon)(x). In order to simplify the calculation and avoid the ambiguity of the three-point correlation unction, a two-point correlation function between the pion and vacuum is used instead. The decay width of the 0(++)-->B(D) is about 12(16) MeV, while the 1(-+)-->B(D) is around 0.4(1.8) MeV. We keep the leading-order of 1/M-Q expansion in our calculation for convenience.
