Comparison the Group Fission of Tibetan Macaque (macaca Thibetana)between Different Management Tourist Sites

Abstract:Primate tourism is a growing trend in primate habitat countries.However,we have not done enough to evaluate its impact on primate groups.As a primate-rich country,China has developed many primate tourism projects in the last 20 years.In order to assess the influence of primate tourism on Tibetan macaque group fission,we compared two sites(Mt.Emei,Mt.Huangshan) where Tibetan macaque was used for primate tourism.Our results showed that the groups size and groups fission of Et.Emei mountain were much different with Mt.Huangshan,we adviced the managers to prohibit the tourists from feeding.
